Don't bother staying here Don't bother. It's in need of an update asap - overpriced, very old, worn carpets and walls - stuck in the 80's..much nicer hotels for the same price. Complained about the room but was told that's what to expect as its not the main hotel. Nice. No signs to direct you to breakfast - even staff gave us incorrect directions! so old..reminds me of The Shining... lifts really busy and takes ages to get anywhere - queue for everything - no staff available to help - honestly - forget it. 2 stars for the breakfast which was great.

Celtic Manor - Manor House - Family Break Stayed at the Manor House and we had a fantastic trip with our two teenage boys. Full access to the resort facilities and restaurants. The bar has affordable meals and a great outside area with higher end restaurants if you want. A fantastic relaxing break with great service. Definitely be coming back for a golf and spa weekend.

Quick pop over to wales. I had to pop to wakes to visit the passport office so decided to book a night near Newport at the last minute. I go a fantastic rate at the Manor House part of Celtic manor which meant I could use the forum health club. The grounds are just beautiful and the spa was lovely. The bed was so comfy and I had a fantastic night sleep. Lovely breakfast and all the staff were so pleasant. Thanks very much!

Overall good experience Great place with paid parking facilities. Quiet and cosy. Good variety for breakfast. Staff at the breakfast station were very polite and friendly. Easy access to the hotel and ICC. Reception staff not too helpful. Concierge service should have been added as you have to carry your suitcases up some stairs before getting lift services - may not be too convenient for some people.

The staff really made our stay The stand out part of our stay was the staff. From the receptionists on arrival and departure and the restaurant staff. All were excellent particular mention must go to the Maître d' of PAD - she was charming and helpful and the young waiter Danny (I think is his name) He was helpful, knowledgeable, friendly and professional, amazing for a young man of just 17. We were a tricky table of 7 guests with different dietary requirements and he sorted everything perfectly. Our room was a standard one and acceptable and the bed was very comfortable. Overall we enjoyed our stay but feel the hotel is in much need of refurbishment. We said this last year when we stayed but apart from a corridor nothing much as been done to improve the decor.
