Avoid This Place A nice well located Sheraton. The downside is the service. I brought my daughter up from NYC to look at some colleges in and around Boston. Having gone to school here, albeit in the 1980s, I know the area. The geography doesn't change. So we check into the Sheraton without issue. As the woman at the front desk is handing me my keys she mentions housekeeping only cleans occupied rooms every 3 days due to COVID, but we could call in the morning and they would clean it upon request. Annoying but fine. So this morning I call and a new fellow answers the phone. I ask him to make sure room service cleans the room. His response was very non-committal, to put it mildly. "I can have them drop off some clean towels" or something like that. I tell him no I want it cleaned, not an unreasonable request. He tells me I. Mass they are very careful and the hotels (not just the Sheraton) are doing it every 3 days. I respond I am from NYC you don't have to tell me about being careful and I hang up. So then on a hunch I called a Hilton and one other place in Boston and was told they clean the rooms every day, why wouldn't they? So I called back to the front desk and got a different person. I made it quite clear that what the other fellow told me was nonsense and either they straighten the room up daily or I am leaving. So they then called back and said no problem. Loom, I am all for COVID protocols, that work. My entire family has been vaccinated since March. I get it. I am from NYC, we were ground zero. But this is BS. Either the cannot get enough workers (pay people more maybe?) or this Sheraton is being tricky to save $ using COVID as an excuse which is a disgrace. Take your pick. Stay somewhere, anywhere, else. I am not asking for a bowl of boysenberries out of season. I want my my room straightened up. It's a basic I shouldn't have to argue about. I gave 2 stars instead of 1 because it is a decent hotel.

Remodeled, Fresh, Clean My top criteria for a hotel is cleanliness, and this hotel exceeded my expectations. The Four Points was recently remodeled, so it is fresh and modern. No carpeting, which I really like. Staff were all friendly too. We had a room on the 11th floor, and since this hotel straddles the Massachusetts Turnpike, you can look down on the cars as they pass underneath. I loved this! A white noise machine and earplugs were in the room, but the car noise didn't bother us. I can see that it might be a problem for some guests. A nice touch was the Lindt chocolate truffles - how did they know that these are my favorite? Total cost, including taxes, was $142 per night. We had a car, so we also paid $15 per night to park in the garage. Breakfast is not included, but there is a Dunkin across the street, and currently (June, 2021) there is a limited breakfast in the hotel restaurant on certain days. There was a refrigerator in our room, so guests might be able to bring their own items. In all fairness, my husband didn't like this place as much as me. He likes to unpack and put his clothes in a dresser, and the modern design didn't allow for this. (I think it's cleaner to keep my clothes in the suitcase anyway.) My husband also didn't like that the surrounding roads made it a little difficult to get here off the tollway. If you're driving, make sure to look at a map in advance so that you know what lanes you need to be in.

Hotel Stay During Covid This was my first experience at a hotel since the pandemic started in february. I stayed at this hotel to be close to newton where I was visiting friends. Upon entering the lobby, the reception area had the glass divider and check in was quick and contactless. The hotel was renovated by it still was not to my standards. The elevator carpet was extremely old and dirty. Our room was recently renovated and was very clean. They had gotten rid of the carpet and all the gadgets and tchotchkes in the room. The bathroom was small, and even though it was remodeled, the tub was the old tub and had some mildew on it. The room had a refrigerator, a coffee machine a hair dryer and small toiletries. Housekeeping service was not available and if you needed anything you had to ask for it. Service was haphazard. I needed a shower cap and asked for it through the Marriot BonVoy app and never received it. There was a restaurant in the hotel, but they do not serve breakfast, so you had to go out for breakfast. The location of the hotel is ok. While there isn't much within walking distance, it is right on the highway, very convenient. There are many areas for improvement and it definitely has potential. I might stay here again if I am in the area. I hesitantly give it my GoldnAdvice seal of approval.

Finally a night out! My girlfriend and I decided to get out of the house and finally do something, that's not watching Netflix. This hotel has a great location, right outside Boston, but still very close to all the area has to offer. Upon entering this beautiful, newly renovated hotel, I was blown away with the modern décor. The lobby was gorgeous and extremely welcoming. The front desk staff were friendly, warm, and also very welcoming. Making my way to the guest room, the hotel continues with lovely décor throughout the property. Again, blown away by the sleek modern designs in the room. Luxurious and comfortable at the same time. Elegant, spacious, and well lit bathroom, which my girlfriend absolutely loved! I do need to mention how clean everything was, which in today's world... SUPER important! Unfortunately, we only had the one night at this beautiful hotel but I can say without a doubt, we will certainly be back!
