Not recommended Stayed in the hotel earlier this week. Room was dirty and dingy. Ate in the restaurant for both breakfast and dinner. For dinner, the cook missed my food allergy warning and served food I could not have. When the steak came out the second time, the quality was poor for the price point. Will not return!

Disapointing I have wanted to stay here for a long time. We stayed in the Highland Suite, and loved it when we first walked in. We began to notice problems very quickly....only 2 bath towels for 3 people. One towel rack for 3 people. Window shades didn't close. You could have hidden 2 dead bodies under the sofa, it was circa 1970 and totally shot. That was bad enough, but I had to sleep on the sofa bed! I wanted to switch rooms or sofas, but the place was totally booked, and my husband pointed out that the sofas were all probably about the same. The house phones do not work. For housekeeping you are supposed to fill out a little form and give it to your server at breakfast, which we did, but we only received our requests 1 day out of 4. The AC died the third night, and they had it fixed the following morning, so that was good. The breakfast was delicious.

You forgot one The restaurant at the Red Coach Inn at Niagara Falls was absolutely fantastic. Went there for our 40th anniversary. The river is literally across the street. The food was terrific. So much so that we ate every meal there. The atmosphere is great because of the history..I won't spoil it for you and our server was absolute perfection. Highly, highly recommend this place.

Unique We were happy with our stay. We don't look for perfection, we enjoy character. The location cannot be beat--walk out the door to Goat Island, the Niagara Parkway, etc. We rode our bikes early one morning and came back to enjoy an amazing breakfast. We also enjoyed dinner. A special nod to the dessert tray. We stayed in a more expensive suite (all that was available) and we will be back. A Niagara Falls icon.

Looks Are Deceiving At first glance upon entering our suite, we were blown away by the elegance. However, as our stay progressed, we discovered there were items that needed repairs or upgraded. The air conditioner was difficult to adjust, as the control was ages old. The tub fixtures were loose, and some completely broken, not working. It was hugely difficult to get out of the deep whirlpool tub, as there were absolutely no grab bars anywhere on the tub or walls. The rod connection for one set of drapes was broken, and we had to take special care to close them at night. We noticed the other rod was tilted, and obviously in need of straightening. The bed mattress and sheets were comfortable; however, between the thin and stiff bedspread which we folded down, there was only the flat sheet to cover us. It was not the best sleep I had. These are just little things, I know, but we spent a huge deal of money, and expected the room be above in comfort and operation than any other stay at a hotel we have experienced. It was not. But with this admitted, I will add, the elegant charm was definitely there. And one more note: The restaurant is hugely expensive. For dinner, we ordered two salads $42. They were rather small full-sized salads, too, but luckily we ordered an appetizer that brought our bill, plus tax and tip and two tap waters, to just over $70! But having a free breakfast the next morning, was great. And it was very delicious.
