Fox Ridge Resort

Front desk staff were nice Extremely basic. Dated. Smelled musty. Left early and went to the comfort inn next door. The staff was all very friendly, about the only good thing about the place. Shocked that it was over $100 to stay here. Although even for less I would not go back. They clearly do not invest any money back into the property.

Even with limited staff, our needs were fully met. The staff was very friendly and always offered to help in any way they could. Because of Covid-19, housekeeping was limited, but everything we needed was provided whenever we asked. At all times, someone was in view to provide for us.

Disappointing The pictures online were beautiful. Driving up to the "resort" was beautifully landscaped. Then, we pulled up to the building and were beyond disappointed. Where is the beautiful landscape? The grass was brown. There were "welcoming weeds" by the door, but no garden. It was very dry and dismal. The building is old, and definitely needs a lot of updates, including a paint job. The inside of the hotel was not clean at all. It looked like it hadn't been vacuumed in some time (we won't even discuss what we saw under the beds and dresser). We booked a room with 2 queen beds, yet we had 2 full sized beds. There was a dirty towel left on our balcony, which the nails were coming up, the railing was wobbly, there were spiders and hornets everywhere, the deck paint was all chipped. The indoor pool was absolutely disgusting. The water was green and cloudy. The outdoor pool was a little cleaner, still cloudy but not as bad. The first night, the entire hotel was out of towels. We only had 3 for the 4 of us. I booked this hotel in case it rained on our vacation so that we would have something to do, but the last place I wanted to be was at our hotel. It was really expensive, not worth it. Would never stay here again.

Family Vacation We rented the alcove room for four of us. Plenty of room. At this time there is no maid service but all you need to do is call the front desk for towels, but our phone did not work. Had to walk downstairs. Pools were great but they close the indoor pool at 9 which is to early. I would stay here again. They are priced well.

Great stay at the Fox Ridge Resort! We have been vacationing in the MWV for years and the Fox Ridge Resort is a hidden gem. Everything about the stay was perfect…check in was a breeze, the suite we stayed in was perfect, both the indoor and outdoor pools were fun to play in, the grab and go breakfast was awesome and you cannot beat the location right near everything that we wanted. Special shout-out to Mike, who checked us in. He was incredibly friendly and as a first impression, he nailed it with welcoming us to the resort. We will definitely be back!
