Wonderful Stay My husband and I had a wonderful stay. The room was spacious and very clean. The bed was quite comfortable . We appreciated how quiet it wad considering the number of guests there. A special shout out to Hollie who went out of her way to make sure our room was in fine working order and even gave us her cell number in case there were any issues with the lock. We look forward to staying there again!

Disappointed My room was changed 4 hours before my arrival. I was told due to renovations my original 2 bedroom suite with a kitchen, wouldn't be available for another day. The suite never opened up. Having 2 dogs in one large bedroom made for an uncomfortable stay. Renovations made for a noisy stay. They didn't seem concerned.

"Virtually" solid stay in the Adirondacks The Alpine Lodge is a pleasant alternative to the largely "crustic" lodging options available in the area. Rooms are decent, and there is a nice fireplace out back. Check-in/check-out are 100% virtual, and while we didn't have any problems, several members of our group had issues with check-in/room access (resulting in one having to spend the night in his car). Good spot to access river rafting and Gore Mountain, but recommend that you triple check details and check-in early to avoid problems.

Nice lodge, but area restaurants are not open for food. The lodge itself is very clean and modern. A very nice stay. The reason why I'm giving the lodge and average rating is because of the restaurants/bars in the area. It is very difficult to eat out during the week, when we stayed. Most restaurants/bars that we encountered were closed. These establishments are not serving their community well. When we inquired about why they were closed several sources blamed the cooks because they're unable to work some days. We had to travel 30 miles from the lodge to even get mediocre food. There aren't any fast food establishments in the area. it was a big inconvenience to to get a meal. A BIG disappointment. For this reason, we will not stay at this lodge, though no fault of their own. A BIG disappointment. Shame on those restaurants that refuse to open and serve their communities by using their cooks to blame. Who owns the places, the cooks?
