Great stay for a family This hotel was a great stop on our road trip. Our kiddo loved the pool—it is not deep and temperature was great for wading with her as she played. Our room was clean and the beds were cozy. Air conditioning worked (and wasn’t crazy loud) and the shower pressure was amazing. We also used the workout space, which was perfectly adequate. Breakfast was solid (plenty of choices) and coffee was good. Most of all, though, the staff were all super friendly and helpful. They went above and beyond, despite it being super busy. We would definitely return!

Has Potential to be Nice Our family (35M; 35F; 5 yo; 2 yo) stayed here for four nights. We specifically chose this hotel because of the advertised HEATED pool & water play area for children. We needed a budget family-friendly location which was relatively close to Presque Isle for our mini-vacation. Our room was dated, but standard for what we were paying to stay there. The greatest downfall was the whole reason we booked the hotel; the pool! Had the pool been heated as advertised, we would have been in heaven with our stay. This pool was the absolute coldest pool we have ever encountered in a hotel (colder than Lake Erie & an unheated outdoor pool we went to during our stay in the area). We asked the front desk if the pool was in fact heated, & the gentleman there flat out stated, “no”. Why advertise for a HEATED pool if the pool feels like ice & is NOT heated?! We were incredibly disappointed in the false advertisement because we would have looked elsewhere had we known! Regardless, we stayed & did enjoy the hot tub available there as well. Overall, the hotel has potential to be very nice (needs a renovation), but we will not be staying there again.

Great Experience Excellent hotel. Arrived at 2 pm Friday afternoon and it wasn’t a problem checking in that early. Our room was perfect, clean and on the 4th floor - with an elevator, it wasn’t a problem. Our floor was really quiet – we did not hear anything from the hallway all evening even though the hotel was full. Hotel has a huge indoor pool with a slide and water buckets that the kids (already in the pool area) seem to be really enjoying and they have a second indoor pool also, probably quieter. We could hear the cars outdoor but no more then that. The breakfast room is huge and there was plenty of food. No complaint there. It was a little more expensive than we like to pay but it was a Friday night, so understandable. All in all, it was an excellent experience. Would definitely stay here again.

Modern & Spacious Don’t believe the naysayers. This Holiday Inn Express was a terrific find on a stretch of I-90 with few lodging options. The hotel is updated. Our king suite was spacious with a couch, short divider, and then the very comfortable king bed. Bathroom counter space is limited, but the bathroom is modern and ours had a great walk-in shower. If you have kids, they will love the pool which has a slide, a spray and other water features plus a large hot tub for the adults. Also highly recommend dinner at the Skunk and Goat Tavern just 5 minutes away.

Great place for families with kiddos! Clean, spacious rooms, helpful staff and the pools are perfect for kiddos! Our only issue was the disinfectant smell in the our room was a bit overpowering but we appreciate the cleanliness! We had a wonderful time and would definitely stay again!
