So Sad We went to Biras Creek many years ago and we loved every minute. Such a beautiful place and we loved the fact that we had use of bicycles and a small Boston Whaler to get around. The food was delicious. Very relaxing vacation. So sorry to hear that it was closed.

Ceased operation June 16, 2015 We were notified yesterday that Biras Creek has ceased operation as of June 16, 2015. We were booked for a week long stay this coming December. They have promised to try to find other options for guests like us with existing reservations. We are saddened by the closure of this great resort.

What? You don't have a decent beach ? Why would someone build a resort in the Caribbean with a terrible beach (the kind with a grassy bottom). They do give you motor boats so you can go find a beach..... Difficult to get to this place and the lack of a decent beach was huge disappointment. You certainly do not get what you pay for. Staff was friendly.

Another Great Stay This place has exactly what we want in a vacation - an escape to a peaceful setting where you can do as much, or as little, as you want. We returned, as we did 5 years ago, the week after Memorial Day. It is truly the off-season. There were only about 12-14 people staying at the resort the entire week. Almost like having a private island. It is remote. No access except by boat - which is good if you want to get away. There is no "party" scene. This is definitely not like any Jamaican all-inclusive place. But of course, you are paying quite a bit more to be here. The food was excellent. I was a little worried for our return trip after reading some of the reviews here about how the quality had gotten worse recently. That is definitely not the case. All but one of the dishes we had during our stay was superb. Steak, Lobster, Shrimp, Scallops, Crab - all so delicious. Since we had already paid for the meal plan - we ate way to much every night. But it was all really terrific. Our favorite part of this resort is taking out the Boston Whalers. Special thanks to Leondo at the marina for the orientation - he was great. Every day we'd go down to the dock and then explore the north sound area for 2-3 hours. Went to snorkel in a few places that Wayne had showed us and it was awesome. A little tough to climb back in the boat (no ladder) if you just drop anchor but we managed quite well after a few missteps. We had the resort pack us a lunch a couple of days - just sandwiches and chips - but when you can take the boat and eat your lunch on what seems to be your own private beach it tastes pretty good. The only drawback to going in the offseason is that the resort seemed to be less than fully staffed sometimes. One day lunch was supposed to be at the beach, but then was moved (unannounced) because there were so few takers. Several other days the beach bar was not open or closed early (3:00pm!) since there were only a handful of people at the beach. A little surprising given the cost of the place. Still, we love this place for its isolation and would be happy to come back.
