Truly a Gem I think to describe the Follansbee Inn as a gem is completely accurate. This lovely property is located on Lake Kezar which invites all guests to swim, kayak, and paddle board. The grounds are beautifully maintained and there are separate areas where guests can relax by the water or enjoy themselves around a fire pit. There is much to do and Dennis, the owner and host, offers great information about other activities in the area. The inn itself is a wondrous display of antiques, the beds are incredibly comfortable and the attention to detail is devoted to making the guests feel at home. As for the breakfasts... incredible! The FollansbeeInn was a wonderful find that we will visit again.

Wonderful, relaxing stay We were a bit apprehensive about the rainy weather, but after a serene kayak ride on the lake (which we had to ourselves), we shifted into relax mode. The softly-falling rain and the call of the loon were magical as we floated along. Our room overlooking the lake was spacious and comfortable, and we enjoyed our jacuzzi tub each night after a full day of activity. The Inn's common rooms were cozy and comfortable while we read books from the Inn's collection placed throughout the hallways. The scenic 3-mile loop around the lake makes the perfect walk. Breakfasts were delicious and filling. Our host, Dennis, was accommodating and helpful whenever we had questions. We will definitely return for another getaway.

What a GREAT getaway!! The Follansbee Inn was an amazing stay for us. Quiet, with a great hot breakfast each day. We love this place and can't wait to return! Clean comfortable Inn, nice rooms, and only 2 hours from Boston.

Beautiful escape My husband and I went to the Follansbee Inn after our wedding on Friday and it was so wonderful. Dennis was a wonderful host - he made us feel really welcome and at-home. We only stayed for one night but already are looking forward to coming back. Breakfast in the morning was so delicious and the lake was really something to admire. We would definitely recommend staying here and taking advantage of the hikes, walks, and lake activities that are offered.

Lovely Inn We just got home from after spending a wonderful few days at the Follansbee Inn. Denis and his team were kind and accommodated us in every way. And what a great chef Denis is - our breakfasts were delicious! The Inn had so much history and the rooms were one of a kind. The grounds were gorgeous and we loved the area especially the lake. It was a hectic week-end as our son was graduating high school down the road. And it was a record low temperature in the area - with a lot of rain and wind. Our only regret is we were unable to truly enjoy the area - which of course gives us a reason to come again.
