Plugged up This is our second stay in last two years. Last year we were like yay this is a nice location with the market and sea bus close by. Then the toilet started to plugged up, not much toilet paper just for some reason the water is not going down as fast. Was able to unplugged it my self with a plunger I borrowed at the front reception. Even that, the water is still not going as fast as regular toilet flush. Fast forward to date. We got in and took a toilet break and voila the toilet plugged up again on first flush ( this is on a different room). I went to the front and complain and borrowed a plunger again and the I mention our passed experience. The front reception said, "It never happen before". I was like ok whatever. Managed to unplugged it and the next day my son was in the washroom and yup this time the toilet overflowed. Good thing there wasn't any poop and he just took a pee. I complained again and yes the front reception said " Oh it never happened before" this is from a different guy/gal. Then I saw the cleaning staff and I had a chat with one of them, he/she told me it happens a lot since the building is old and have a sewer problem. So if you need a practice of unplugging toilet here is your chance. I think this is the last time we are staying here until they do something with the sewer. My kids have a new name for the hotel. They call it the Cloggdale Quay Hotel.

They don’t treat as a human, only a Visa card The hotel is noisy, aged and a bit stinky. I can get by that. They are near the hospital. I was there to transport my husband home after a bike accident. His release was a surprise on night two. Even though I explained the unusual circumstances and tried to cancel before check in time, I was refused. Yes, that is the hotel policy but I was hoping to be treated as a human, not just a visa. If it was part of the long weekend and the hotel was sold out, sure. But I know they weren’t sold out the Monday eve after the long Weekend.

Great Location This is a great spot if you're looking for a place with views and things to do without being in the centre of busy downtown. It's primary perk, however, is it's proximity to the seabus which takes you directly to downtown Waterfront Station within 15 mins and connects you with both the Expo and Canada line trains. The rooms are clean and of a decent size, beds are comfortable, and linens are soft. The building itself is a bit older and the room decor could use a small upgrade. Rooms also have air-conditioning and lamanent (wood textured) floors. The restaurant, which is only accessible to guests, offers some good dishes and decent beers. It also has a view of the harbour and the city skyline. Staff are friendly and professional. Places to check out while in the area are the many breweries along Esplanade and 1st Street East, Spirit Trail through to Mosquito Creek Marina, the Shipyards Pier, shops, and restaurants, and the Quay Market located within the same building as the hotel.
