Clean and convenient for a budget trip We did not book this hotel directly, our tour operator did, but we were happy with the hotel and the room. PROS: the rooms are clean, big bathroom, terrace at the top with views to downtown. The breakfast menu has plenty of options to taste local food, so its excellent to experiment first hand real mexican food. Eventhough it is located on a busy street, we had a good night sleep every day. The room has the basic stuff as expected for a budget hotel. Definitely a good choice, and seems like other tour operators work with them. DISCLAIMER: this hotel is not located on Oaxaca downtown, it is like a 5-6 block walk from downtown, locals told us not to walk back to the hotel at night but rather take a cab (or go back earlier) , so this will be the only watchout.

Comfortable and Clean What I liked most about Hotel Aitana was the welcoming atmosphere. The staff were all very helpful and kind. I felt safe and comfortable during my staff. Breakfast was available for $5 USD and consisted of fruit, toast, and eggs with meat, and coffee. The terrace up top was an enjoyable place to plan activities or unwind.

Lovely comfortable hotel Our king bed room was spacious , cool in the afternoon, and very clean. We stayed two and a half weeks and enjoyed it very much. The street is busy, but once inside the hotel we never heard noise. The rooftop terrace is really pretty and the breakfast, especially the fresh fruit and juices, was fine. The location is really nice - easy walking distance to almost all the tourist sites. And I want to give a special commendation to all of the staff. The receptionists were very helpful in arranging taxis, laundry, etc & everyone was so cheerful and friendly. This hotel is a real find.

LARGE ROOm, well done, large bath, modest breakfast, excellent location we liked the room - large, clean, nice and large bath, back of hotel. on a busy street, easy to cross but noisy which makes front part of hotel noisy, best room in back. breakfast modest, arrive early as they don't keep all things filled, nice area to eat, towards front so can be noisy

Lovely stay! We really enjoyed our time at the Hotel Aitano! Clean, comfortable, good location (about 4 blocks from the zocalo) quiet (on a busy street but the Spanish colonial courtyard architecture really keeps the street noise at bay) nice breakfast (included & changes daily) pretty upstairs veranda with great city views and a friendly, helpful staff standing by to help make your visit to this lovely city a delight! Special mention must be made to managers Victor and Raymundo for their kind attention and professionalism!
