The Palms Hotel Fire Island

Great Experience at The Palms ! This hotel is so different with the new owners! It is great! The room /bathroom were very clean, the staff was super helpful and really went out of their way to make you feel special and like you were on vacation. The new touches are so appreciated ; water and champagne upon check - some appetizers and the complimentary breakfast was superb and completely unexpected. We even used their kayaks. Great stay overall - we will be back again soon

Never again. I am reading all the good reviews about this place and thinking, is this the same place I just stayed at for 5 nights last week? $600 a night ($3000) for cramped rooms, dirty bathroom with clogged sink, bug bites, little response from staff for dry towels, trash emptying (had to ask 5 times one day), owner called when I requested and offered quite the response (the rooms are fine ie I am lying, no adjustment on rate, get lost,). Yes, the lobby and outdoor area, the breakfasts and beach amenities are fine, the young Eurohires are photogenic and hip and cool. But something is wrong here and it's not me. Grew up summering here, know mosquito bites (these were not mosquito bites) are normal, towels don't dry, it's Fire Island style but this is unacceptable.

Beautiful Sunsets Although the room was small it had good air conditioning, the bed and pillows were very comfortable. We also enjoyed the complimentary hot breakfast, beach chairs, towels, umbrellas and cold bottles of water. As well, All the staff was very accommodating. Holden at the outdoor desk in particular and Sergio at the Beach at the bay. As always,, We had a great time!

Excellent service and stay! The hotel was clean, accommodating, and provided outstanding service. The location was great. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The location was great and we were able to enjoy all the amenities.
