Nice hotel, reasonable rates We booked an oceanfront room with a balcony. Booking process was easy. Check-in and check out went smooth and front desk attendants were very personable. The room was not huge but roomy enough for 2 adults, 2 teenagers and all of our stuff. It was very clean and cleaned daily by very polite staff. Beds were pretty comfortable and pillows were fluffy. Bathroom was roomy, clean and shower had good water pressure. The kitchenette microwave came in handy for reheating our leftovers from lunch/dinner and the mini fridge was COLD. The view from the balcony was beautiful and peaceful for watching the sunrise. My only negative was the "no smoking" on the balcony rule. Other than that, this hotel is a great place to stay and reasonably priced.

Easy to reserve, check-in and checkout. Some staff extra helpful; nice beds, but bathroom wreaked of Urine upon arrival Smooth online transaction reserving rm. Check-in went smooth as well. I needed to print important document, LORENA went out of her way to allow me to print the document before noon and get it back to my employer! She went over & Beyond and with a smile! Beds were great and neatly done, rug looks unclean, bathroom wreaked of urine and was horrible. Asked for late checkout considering it thunder stormed the night before & they had plenty of vacancies, only allowed an additional 1/2 hour. I still would still recommend the hotel

Ocean Facing Pool a Bonus. Checked in here after referral from Tidelands Carribean was not handicap friendly. Barricuda's food was good. Pool there was crowded with kids in the afternoon. Beach front pool was nice, but never skimmed the five days we were there. The pool shower and foot watch didn't work so sand ended up in the pool. I wouldn't trust the handicap pool seat, it was all rusted. Location was great, our room had a great side view of the ocean. Jeff at the front desk was helpful and welcoming. There was no working phone in the room and when we asked about it, we were told it would be fixed....it wasn't the entire time we were there. Burn hole on the couch made the room seem shabby.

Rip off! We were unable to stay due to a strong chemical smell throughout the property. Tried repeatedly through Expedia and personal phone calls and emails to get our money refunded, but they never replied. Once they had our money, they were done with us. So they kept our money we paid for a hotel we couldn't stay in due to the toxic chemical smell from having a new floor put in. AVOID this hotel!

Favorite Hotel in OC I've been vacationing in OC since i was a kid. I've stayed at several hotels over the years. Crystal Beach is hands down our favorite. So much so that we havent stayed anywhere else for the past 6-10 years. You can't beat the prices, their rooms are spacious and clean, the view and location is perfect and the staff is phenomenal. Thank you Jeff and Vinny for taking excellent care of us during our January and February trips. See you this weekend!
