Great location We were satisfied with our stay, but several little things we just lived with while we were here.. The room REALLY could use a good dusting, and with only 2 bath towels.. and one wash cloth. Not enough for 3 people. _‍♀️ The pool is big and the area is clean. Excellent location to the beach & shopping. The shilo is worn and tattered, but we will visit again.

We loved our stay at Shilo Inn We loved our stay at Shilo Inn. I read all the nasty reviews and have to say some people have unrealistic expectations. The staff are great and helpful in every way. They did say it was difficult to hire additional staff because not enough people are willing to do the work. The cleanliness of our room was 10 out of 10. Every surface I tested was clean, even in the drawers. Simply outstanding when you consider it’s an ocean view hotel. Everything worked in our room and the facilities as a whole. The pool and hot tub were both clean and nice and it was busy with lots of people enjoying them. I stayed at Shilo Inn 20 years ago and for me it was like stepping back in time. Yes it’s an older hotel now but it’s still a great place. In it’s day the Shilo Inn was a spectacular property and it continues to be a great hotel. Thanks to Shilo Inn staff for their excellent service and hospitality.

Run down, ragged and rude! The first room they gave us was dirty. The bed wasn’t even made. The second room had the top sheet on top of the blanket and no fitted sheet, the toilet was broken, the door would close properly and there was only one towel in the room. The back exit door was broken so get ready for a hike. They don’t tell you the restaurant is closed. I left three messages for manager and still haven’t heard from them. Then three days after we left the billed our card an additional $145 with no explanation. DON’T Stay here it was terrible.

Bring your own everything This “hotel” has no restaurant, no maid service, no lounge. The place is huge and restaurant and lounge are advertised! I have never stayed at anyplace costing more than 200$ a night with no fresh towels available. It’s quiet because no one stays here. We had a microwave and fridge thank heavens but the doors to the lanais are locked. Why? Dry rot? They claim because seagulls invade because guests feed them. Yuk! Now I am looking at the windows and think that may be right. What a dump. The corridors look worse than a Stephen king movie. It’s kind of sad really. Maybe the county could take it over as a homeless shelter.

Very unique and great location hotel, ocean themed throughout! Best location, super ocean views as well as nature (including deer sometimes), quiet, great room lighting, the hotel has many unique touches like etched mirrors with ocean life throughout, model ships in the lobby, aquarium near the lobby, and old charming touches. Bathroom tiles are decorative, beds are comfy. BALCONY to enjoy the ocean breeze and views. Two tvs, ironing board and iron, not a cookie cutter hotel which is refreshing. The only downside is some touch ups are needed as they are showing their age. Microwave is too small.
