Holiday Inn Oceanside Camp Pendleton Area by IHG

Bathroom locked in room Since we were only staying one night, I wasn’t particularly picky about some of the things that I saw, however the main issue was the bathroom door locked itself from the inside. We woke up on Saturday morning, needing to use the restroom and were unable to get in. It was myself, my daughter, and her teammate. We were in town for a soccer tournament and needed to check out in order to arrive to the field on time. As soon as I realized that the bathroom door was locked from the inside, I called the front desk only to be told that the maintenance person would not be arriving until 8:30 AM. I called around 8 o’clock in the morning. I told him that we couldn’t wait, that we had to use the restroom, and shower. He said that we could walk downstairs to the lobby and use the bathroom in the lobby. We were not able to take showers. I also left some of my toiletries in the bathroom from the night before, so I was unable to get them. We had to check out because we had to leave, therefore our issue was never settled. I called the front desk and asked for the general manager. They told me he was not available. I also called IHG and explained to them and they told me that I needed to continue to contact the general manager. It has been one week and I have called three times and I have not received a phone call back. $300 for 12 hours and no bathroom usage in the morning. Terrible.

Employ and protect thieves The housekeeping staff stole my new sonicare toothbrush and the front desk did nothing to help me get it back, nor took any action to make the situation right. Be careful that you are staying where they employ and protect thieves. I am an IHG gold elite member and will NEVER stay at one of their properties again. They have lost my trust and my business for life.

Stressful and uncomfortable! To start, when we checked in we replaced in a occupied room. When I opened the door there was a man laying on the bed. When I informed the lobby staff they addressed it as if I was not truthful and had engineering go and check the room. On top of that, she did not even offer an apology. Then when we were checked into another room there was no water pressure and it was like taking a shower and a bird bath. When calling to address this issue she informed us there were no other rooms available and again no apology. She sent up engineering to check the shower and of course there was nothing they could do at that time. Then later called to offer us free breakfast and a few other options for the issue. The stay was definitely not worth over $300 which was the cost for one night. Nevertheless, the general manager contact me the next day and stated that I would be receiving a full refund. I am thankful for their refund and am waiting for that as I write this. Thank you!

Nice & comfortable We had a nice and comfortable stay. I wouldn’t say it’s the best hotel in Oceanside but sure is nice and comfortable. We were greeted in front desk by a lady Gua, had a nice chat, She sounds British so that was interesting. Rooms were clean and tidy. Location wise it’s great because we love the beach! Would stay again.

Rudy rocks !! The hotel is amazing place to stay ! I came down to se my husband since he’s on base at the United States Marines in San Diego . My husband and I stood there for the night before I headed back to LA. We both loved it very much it’s really clean and very professional. The staff was very friendly Mr. Rudy is the best _!! Thank you so much for greeting us and making us feel welcome after a long drive from LA. We need more Rudy’s like you to work in the company. 5’s⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
