This hotel is closed. This hotel closed in 2017. There is a small timeshare, called vacation owners association at Olympia that remains open. It is not associated with the old resort. The timeshare is an OK place to hang your hat, if you are in Oconomowoc for longer than a couple days and want a reasonably priced place to stay. It is VERY basic.

Olympia Vacation Owners #0743 ( a timeshare associated with the closed hotel/spa) We recently completed a rental week at Olympia Vacation Owners, aka Vacation Owners Association, listed as an RCI "hospitality" timeshare. This place is 60 years old and has absolutely NO amenities. The off-site amenities listed, I believe, were connected to the adjacent Olympia Hotel and Spa, and private golf course which are all closed and defunct. We were surrounded by rundown, closesd buildings and huge empty parking lots. It was a very unsightly area. The timeshare itself was one building which housed 29 timeshare units and an office. Furniture was uncomfortable and outside railings do not meet national safety codes. We would NEVER recommend this timeshare to anyone. It had NOTHING to offer and we tried to spend as little time there as possible. I hope this review enlightens others who may be thinking of staying at this place.

Owners have no pride or clue I am originally from the lake country area and was back due to some last minute business. I must say this location has not changed and has gotten worse. It is dirty and dingy. My room had peeling paint and what I believe was mold in the corners. The plumbing is horrible and water, well I did not drink it. The whole place is poorly laid out and customer service is poor mainly due to not really having anyone working and who those who were did not have a clue. Aside from the sheets having stains and the beds being well crunchy and garbage in the hallway pilled up it smelled very old and almost like wet dogs. Whoever owns this location should be embarrassed, they clearly have no idea how to run a business and do not appear to have put any money or effort into the place for a long time. If the health dept were to do a inspection I believe this location would fail in every aspect. I do not understand how a business can be run so poorly and be so bad. Never stay here, ever.

Visit to the "Resort" Oct 2017 - Stayed for a wedding. Hotel is not completely run down, but close. Rooms, hallways, common areas, bathrooms, bar, restaurant lighting is TERRIBLE. Bed "crunched" when sat on. Carpet old. Linens old. Bathroom fixtures old. Screen doors so dusty I needed another shower once I opened the slider. No one seemed to know if our room was on their schedule for cleaning. Entrance depressing. Surrounding area, urban industrial. Hotel staff fairly non existent however when we had to leave earlier than expected they did not charge us for the third night but questioned us unnecessarily. Hot tub area was fairly decent - two tubs: one hot and one colder tub. Pool area looked decent but didn't use it. Heard the owner has not put funds into hotel for years. It shows. Not completely dirty, but not terribly clean. Why they call it a resort, I'm not sure. Golf course hasn't looked like its been used for a while. Guess there is a ski area close by. Ample parking. No luggage service, no concierge service. $3.50 for you-make-it-yourself "Starbucks" coffee in the lobby.Week-end we stayed was cold and damp and huge fireplace in lobby was not in use.

If I could give this no stars, I would... This hotel sucks. I’ve noticed in many places that this hotel is dirty and they look at the big picture versus the small things that people notice. We haven’t even been into our room yet, so I have no idea of what the room looks like. We’ve been waiting in the lobby because we’re here for a conference and have not been given our room even though we were “guaranteed our room at 3pm” it’s now 4:30 and still haven’t been given our room. It’s been a terrible experience thus far. If you don’t need to come here, then I wouldn’t suggest it at all. I attached a picture of the lobby of people waiting for their rooms to open up.
