Solid stay! Will be back. Our 3 nights early August was much better than expected from a lot of the recent reviews. Service was solid from valet, front desk, concierge, to housekeeping. Everything was taken care of in a timely manner. Stayed in a forest view suite which was decent space for our family of 5. The view sucked but oh well. Room felt a "little" dated but definitely not motel status as mentioned. Kitchenette was a huge plus. Fridge is a bit noisy at night but that's about it. We didn't spend a ton of time in the room. Pool area was nice. Kids loved the water slide and sand area. And yes, the water slide pool did get a bit dirty but from surrounding trees. Not a big deal. Main pool and spa were spotless. No issues with mosquitos early August. Location wise, it's about 15 mins either direction to Truckee for Safeway & more dining options or Tahoe City for beach and dining. Palisades is a quick shuttle ride over for hiking and dining. All in all, we had a great time and would definitely come back.

Beautiful property but rooms are lacking Pros: The resort sits on a beautiful property. The beds were comfortable. Cons: The rooms need to be updated and cleaned properly. The A/C didn’t work properly my entire stay.

Do not stay! The property is old and needs to be updated. Inside of the rooms looked like a low budget motel. The furniture was old and scratched up and looked like it had probably been there 10-15 years, the room smelled musty, there was patchwork on the walls, and the room was not cleaned properly. Talked to manager about room and wanted to cancel my last night because of the quality of the hotel and room. He refused to let me cancel and they overcharged me for parking when I was not even there. No one on the property answers the phone and management doesn’t care about the customer. It’s been 7 days now and I’ve called repeatedly and am told I will receive a call from a manager but they never call.
