Worst experience of my life! I called the hotel (I have screenshots of my phone logs) on the day of my arrival and notified them that I will be arriving late (after 2 am). Despite that, they not only no showed me (when I arrived after 2 am) but also threatened to call the police. One of the worst experiences I have had so far. I had to spend over 2 hours of my time haggling with the Expedia agent who spoke with the hotel staff and only then did they relent and give me the full refund. Their disgraceful, despicable, and deceitful practices were and continues to be on full display. Clearly, customer comes last for them. TO THE OWNER Your hotel no-showing me resulted in me getting a room elsewhere at 330 AM after being shown the door unceremoniously by your staff. Also, the price to book another room on CWS weekend was astronomical. There has been NO response from your hotel regarding my ask to compensate for the the terrible experience/ inconvenience caused by your staff and cover the extra cost incurred for the hotel room due to the same.

Outdated and Unsafe This has to be one of the worst hotels that I and my coworkers stayed in. This hotel is severely outdated. Musty smelling, mold in rooms, hair in bathroom showers and floors. It's just a yucky feeling staying there. It was so bad that we had to move. There were multiple vehicles break in during the week that we were there. They have no cameras and no security patrol. I asked the night auditor about vehicles break ins before we checked in and he lied and said that they hadn't had any for a few months, come to find out that there were a break in the night before we checked in and he was working that night and knew about it. There's no lighting in the parking lot so if you're a women you may want to go to another hotel. You don't have to take my word for it because you have the right to inspect your room before you pay for it but if you pay through a third party that hotel will not refund your money and you will have to go back to that third party to get a refund so it would be in your best interest not to make a reservation at that hotel but to go there and look at the rooms before you pay or better yet call the Police department and ask them about break-ins at the MainStay Suites. This Hotel should be demolished and the management should be charged in a court of law with willfully neglecting their customers. Also Mainstay please don't reply to this review with your typical pre written standard reply and no I don't want to call and talk to you about it because how many more lies can you really tell at this point?

Overall nice hotel We had extensive stay because I had surgery. The staff is Amazing nice and kind. The staff is the reason that I enjoyed my stay. They are a value to the hotel and try to accommodate your needs. However, the owner need to spray the rooms. The back door was open by visitors, perhaps bugs came into building. Trust me, get it sprayed. The overall room was nice and comfortable. It was clean. The problem is setting rules for the visitors that play extremely loud music anytime and for hours. Disappointed, as there was zero breakfast and the cable only had five channels for my entire extensive stay. Overall, not a bad stay but spray the hotel rooms because we encountered 6 different insects. A posted sign about loud music would be nice! Overall, not a bad place to stay. Fix the small problems, please. This is the honest truth!

Safety issues I'm a travel nurse and I stayed at this property PLEASE NURSE TRAVELERS DONT STAY HERE! I'm a woman of color I was on the second floor very far away from the main entrance their was a Caucasian gut in a yellow neon hoodie kept hanging around on the floor very suspect. My antennas went up he was walking behind me very close to the wall as to avoid the camera I went into the ro.i was paying for and he kept walking straight. I went to work the next day I came back and my door was open THE SAME MAN WAS LURKER AROUND it was an inside job no doubt and for what no idea. I alerted the front desk clerk she came to.my room one morning and so to speak escorted me downstairs. She told me they would run the camera the manager is an aloof mean spirometer Caucasian woman who appears to hate dealing with the public or that is what she portrays I didn't receive any follow up calls from her and the general manager racism at ita finest. It could be she's jealous I'm a nurse or that my rate of stay is low due to my job paying alot of the bill who knows really. I digress MY ROOM DOOR WAS OPEN. THE LOCK WAS OUT TO KEEP THE DOOR AJAR I am not from Nebraska so I am seeking another hotel asap but please don't stay here they are mean and unhelpful. Yes it's a reasonable rate but the hotel is creepy and cold. BAD CHOICE ON MY PART. I will file a police report and get an attorney as to why the management refused to run the camera back is it because someone knows this person??? RUN AND RUN FAST NOT WORTH THE HEADACHE.

Room Smelled Like Cooking Grease; Hallways with Cooking Smells This hotel has a great location and I stayed at it once before and really enjoyed it. They are in the process of refurbishing all their rooms which is a major plus. Unfortunately, on this visit my room reeked of kitchen grease (opening the window did not help) and the 2nd floor hallway constantly smelled of food. I believe the hotel has temporary workers and their spouses living in some of these rooms full-time. So, if you want to stay in a hotel that is being used like an apartment building - and getting a lot of wear-and-tear as a result, this hotel is for you. Otherwise, pick a different hotel.
