Money grab at its finest Don’t visit this hotel or Hilton for that matter unless you want to be charged unnecessarily. I booked with the Hilton app and looked like I was booking a cancellable rate . 4 night stay 8/4 to 8/8. Well, now a tropical storm/ hurricane is suspected to develop and arrive on the same day as checkin. I called the hotel to cancel and was told f no. Then Hilton customer service finally did with a one night fee. A fee when a hurricane is a possibility. Yeah, I know August is closer to the peak but all other chains make an allowance. Not Hilton. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

Annual Conference We have just concluded another great conference at the Island House Hotel. On this 25th anniversary, most of the conferences have been held at the Island House. Victoria has every detail worked out many months before our arrival. She and Michaela are very dedicated to making our meeting a success. Tim makes sure the room arrangements and AV are ready to go on the afternoon before our meeting . I arrived after Tim had left for the day before the meeting, he texted me his cell number and said he would come back if needed, to make any changes. Our reception and luncheon were very good and the staff were very friendly and attentive. Our attendees were very pleased with the hotel rooms and especially the location in Orange Beach. I would highly recommend the Island House Hotel!

Wonderful Stay Beautiful place! When checking in 3 staff member were having their own conversation. I'm attuned to customer service; the inappropriate conversation they were having was not what a customer should ever hear. This was the only time this was noticed. Every staff member was great, attentive, and professional. I have no problem with no coolers at the pool. This is a beautiful place so don't lower its class with your yeti. The beach is wonderful. Chairs plentiful. Room was spacious and clean. Bed comfortable. Balcony was great, however not sure if it was the chairs or the railing that made it difficult to enjoy the view compared to other hotels with Balcony views. Bar service was wonderful. Lunch was good; nothing special but convenient. Wearing wristbands, towel sign-out/in, and security rounding seems a little much. Overall this was a wonderful stay. Thank you/Cheers.

Wonderful stay - third time staying there! Physical facilities are nice and the employees are friendly and helpful. Other reviews indicate no coolers and no drinks at the pool (the no coolers is for real but there was no rule to my knowledge about drinks at the pool). Easy walk to the beach and plenty of food choices nearby. Can't wait to return next year (or maybe before!).

Don’t waste your time, money, or reward points staying here!! I would NOT recommend staying at this hotel. Don’t waste your time, money or reward points staying here when there are so many other places you can stay. There are SO many rules!! People spend their hard earned money to take summer vacations and enjoy relaxation. Everytime you turn around there is something that you cannot do. You cannot have coolers in the pool area, you cannot have any type of drinks by the pool (including water), and you have to sign out your pool towels and sign them back in upon return. There is a security guard walking nonstop around the premise telling people that they cannot have coolers and drinks near the pool. This hotel needs to relax and let their guests enjoy their vacations. As long as the drinks aren’t in glass bottles and aren’t in the pool then what is it hurting having coolers and drink in the pool area? The rooms and balconies were not very spacious. The rooms are clean and housekeeping does do a good job keeping everything clean. However, there was no conditioner in the shower and there were several outlets in the room that weren’t working and a lamp that as missing a light bulb. The beds are comfortable. Also when sitting on the balcony you are eye level with the railing and cannot see anything out on the beach. There needs to be chairs that sit higher out on the balcony area so you can see the beach and ocean not just the pool. The food at the restaurant was okay. Our waiter was very nice but the service in the dining area wasn’t great, they clearly need more help. My husband travels for a living and spends 200+ nights a year out on the road and in hotels. He has the highest rewards status and this by far was not Hilton’s best compared to their other hotels. You don’t even get complementary coffee as you do at most other hotels. To top everything off, apparently we were allowed $30 a day towards food, drink, and snacks. We did NOT find this out until the morning that we were checking out of the hotel!! This information should have been given to us at check in but wasn’t so we missed out on that perk so shame on the attendant who check us in and failed to give us that information. We will NOT stay here again! There are so many other hotels in the Orange Beach/Gulf Shores area that we could have chose to use our points at for our family vacation and I sure wished we would have!!
