Charming play to disconnect and slow down! I rarely stay in B&Bs as I usually prefer the predictability of nationally known chains. I was delightfully surprised by this little gem of a place. The owners and staff we so warm and welcoming. They had great advice on events, stores and restaurants. From the cozy rooms to the amazing breakfast, this was a perfect place for quiet time with family. The fresh brewed morning coffee is outstanding and not to be missed. The town and the region offers lots of quiet sites off the path. I highly recommend for a restful weekend.

Wonderful Stay!!! My husband and I truly enjoyed our stay here and had a wonderful time. The room was cute, cozy, and clean, and the breakfast were delicious! Genesis was kind and helpful--booking dinner reservations, showing us around, etc. We also especially enjoyed the cookies, chocolates, and beverages available in the evenings; it was a great way to wind down from the day. The bed and breakfast is close to a lot of historical sites--Monticello and Montpelier for example--and in walking distance to shops and food in Orange. I cannot recommend the Holladay House enough; we had a great time and hope to return if we are in the area in the future.

Awesome Bed and Breakfast in a Great Southern Town We had a wonderful time at Holladay House. The owners are awesome. It is very clean and close to all of the wineries at the foot of the mountains in Virginia. Close to local restaurants within an easy walk and lots of Virginia history. The rooms are very clean and the beds very relaxing. We walked to a local restaurant and had a relaxing meal. The breakfast was French toast with Creme Brûlée and bacon and a wonderful pear with nuts and sauce. Never had a better time. Highly recommend a stay at Holladay House.

Great stay and great breakfast! We were looking for a historic B&B to stay at during our trip to visit the plantations of early U.S. presidents. The Holladay House was what we were looking for an so much more. The bed was comfortable, the breakfast fantastic, the room and common areas charming and the inn keepers friendly and helpful throughout our stay. This is the place to stay and we hope to be back soon!

Convenient location, great food and hospitality. We enjoyed the Holladay House’s close proximity to Montpelier and Monticello, as well as the ruins at Barboursville and all of the local wineries in every direction. Sam was a gracious host and good chef. He was happy to accommodate a low-carb breakfast request and gave us several local pointers. We enjoyed eating dinner at nearby Rochambeau in Gordonsville.
