Sonder Wellborn Orlando We absolutely loved our stay! The ambiance is so cool and our room was just great. Stayed in The Library. A bit noisy at night with the patio right outside but used the ear plugs provided and was fine. Other rooms probably not as close to the patio. Will definitely stay again. Patio bar is fabulous!

Exceptional stay! Amazing service- felt like home! Had an abundance of pillows and towels it was the best- sonder left a hand written personal note when walking in. It was super easy to use the parking pass and find parking with in a treasonable distance! Not to mention the well born restaurant with amazing food and service will definitely be back in the future

Good first stay in a Sonder, nice location on south edge of downtown Orlando. This was our first Sonder experience and I would give it a 4.5 if I could. Overall great experience with some minor dings. If you’re not familiar with Sonder, it’s kind of somewhere between a hotel and an AirBnB. Everything is done through their app. There is no onsite staff. Really not necessary for the way we travel. The app worked great. Was able to get in and out of our room using the electronic key function. We needed to get a different bottom sheet because the one on our bed was too small originally. Chatted with someone in their central support staff and got a new sheet delivered by a very friendly local staff member within a couple of hours. The location is great. Right on the south edge of the downtown corridor. Easy walking distance to restaurants, bars, etc. We were there for the US marathon trials and we were right in the middle of the course which was fantastic. Rates were very reasonable considering the weekend. Definitely a driving factor in our decision. The Wellborn is a great bar/courtyard area adjacent to, but not part of the hotel. While a little pricey, it’s a good place to grab a drink and people watch. They stay open fairly late into the evening, so don’t know if noise is a factor for rooms on the east side. We were on the west side which is next to the Phillips House which is used for things like wedding receptions. It can be quite loud at night but they were really good about stopping the music at 10 pm. There are ear plugs and a white noise machine in the room. You also get some noise from 408 which passes overhead. The white noise machine really helped neutralize that. This is the only real ding I have. The room itself was spacious with a small kitchenette area and a large bathroom. Shower big enough for two and a whirlpool bathtub also big enough for two. The TV has chromecast so you can use any of your streaming services, but there is no local TV service. While they caution that parking is limited, there are many places clearly marked for hotel guests and we never had a problem finding a place, even when coming home on a weekend night. It appears that the Wellborn patrons respect that.

Moms funeral sucked less with these cool digs. This is our third experience with the Wellborn the staff is incredible. We love the pink apartments better than the house but everything’s incredible. We had an emergency at the house there was a gas leak and the incredible staff showed up right away and took care of everything. I think my only bummer is not being able to check in a little earlier check out a little later pretty strict about the check and check out and we were here for a funeral and death and grieving can make those times a little wishy-washy. 11 AM very early And we had to go get another hotel just to have a place to go before a check in because check is so late but it’s also kind of like staying in someone’s awesome apartment so I get that that’s how it Has to be the staff is really understanding as we scrambled out with wet hair today. Overall the location the price and the quality of the pink apartments are so incredible. I hate to even leave a good review because I want there to be space for us. Every time we come to town our mother was an ORMC where she died was just so great to have this nearby place to stay rest our brains in our heads to go to eat amazing food next-door at the Wellborn restaurant and just having an incredible respectful time. We were even able to celebrate my sister’s birthday in the middle of all the chaos at the Wellborn. I love that the Sonder app is kind of like a mix between the strictness of Airbnb with the ease of a hotel like we didn’t have to clean up and take out the trash and reset the laundry like you do an Airbnb, but we still kind of do it out of respect for the staff We always like to leave the place as we found it. Btw 310 rocks! Total apartment ! 318 is ok. More of a studio. More plugs on both sides of the bed In all locations. And 318 needs a full length mirror in the hall next to the bathroom. Maybe one more hook and place so set things down in the bathroom? In 318? (Getting ready for a funeral in only a tiny wall mirror was hard) Thank you so much.

Lovely Stay in the Heart of Orlando This is a hidden gem in Orlando! The buildings are charming, with all the grace of a long-ago period. A lake is directly in front of the hotel - an easy morning walk to circle it. On the property are a main house, our building, a charming courtyard complete with pond and drink truck. We stayed on the first floor in a one-bedroom suite. They thought of everything to make for an easy, comfortable stay. There was a small kitchen with a refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker. There was plenty of coffee, sugar, and creamer. The bed was quite comfortable, and earplugs were on the nightstand in case the band in the courtyard got noisy on Saturday night. The bathroom had a lovely walk-in shower - the shampoo, conditioner, and body wash were all on the wall (there was also bar soap if you prefer). We used a code to enter the room and had no issues with it. Internet and TV worked well. The furnishings were more along the modern lines; sort of Scandinavian-looking. Comfy sofa that converted to a bed if you need it. Plenty of room for suitcases. Except for getting fresh towels and more coffee (all self-serve at the main house), we were set for our 3-night stay. We would definitely stay there again.
