Updated rooms needed. My two young adult grandchildren and myself just visited. The hotel is impressive from the outside, the check in went very well and we were able to check in early. Upon exiting the elevator to our floor it went downhill from there. I felt like I was on International Drive, not the Hard Rock. The carpeting in the hallways was frayed and dirty. There were trays of food unattended to along the hall. The room felt like an update was very much needed. The chairs were torn, the carpet was dirty and quite a few lights were not working. Upon plugging in my charger, the outlet sparked. The light in the sink area flickered. So, to say the least I was very disappointed in the living areas. We were happy with the ease of getting to the park and breakfast was delicious ( however, very expensive). We had a wonderful waiter, from Morocco two times, who was a delight. I would definitely look into an updated hotel next time.

my experience in the hard rock hotel I recently stayed at the Hard Rock Hotel in Orlando, and it was fantastic. The rock-inspired decor and vibrant atmosphere were so much fun. The room was stylish and comfortable, and the pool area was a highlight—perfect for relaxing. The service was excellent, with friendly staff making me feel welcome throughout my stay. If you're looking for a lively and enjoyable hotel experience in Orlando, I highly recommend the Hard Rock Hotel!

Product does not match the cost. 3 star service 5 star prices. Let’s be honest. The hotel rooms are the standard holiday inn type wjth minimal theming. Two scatter cushions, an acrylic LP on the wall and some drumsticks in the bathroom. That’s about it. The pool area is good and gardens well kept. That said this resort is in dire need of a refurb. Electrical sockets hanging off in the hallways and unimpressive bathrooms from 90’s style! Do not expect 5 star service. Examples. Could I please have my digital ticket placed on a card so I do t have to take my phone to the water park. After much contemptation - ‘no Sir we can’t do that but I’d really recommend you take your cell phone to the water park anyway in case you get stuck and need to call 911! I walked away in disbelief. The water taxi service stops in heavy rain (understandable) They place a sign at the water taxi saying please use our alternative bus transport due weather. Okey doke. Could you advise when the bus is due. ‘Oh Sorry in inclement weather the bus runs a reduced service every 45 minutes’. Ok could you tell me the timetable. ‘Oh no sir we don’t have a schedule and I can’t log on to the tracker, so I’d suggest you head down and maybe one will come soon. I replied ‘or I could be waiting 45 mins I guess’ The response from concierge - well you could by a poncho and just walk in the thunderstorm! WOW! That’s your 5 star rock star service in action! In summary this place is not 5 stars and would not stand up in any other location. You are paying solely for convenience of walking distance to the parks and the express pass inclusion. Providing you keep your expectations to that level, that’s what you’ll get. It seems Universal hotels are systematically being refurbished ready for the opening of epic universe next year. It’s Portofino now and Hard rock is next on the list. Well overdue but doesn’t help guests in 2024. If you are going to charge £500 ($700) per night, the service should at least match the cost. Sadly it doesn’t.

Great Stay !! We stay in The Hard Rock every time we visit Orlando. It’s a beautiful hotel, right next to Universal Studios and you get Express Fast Passes for the rides, early entry to the parks and the use of private boats that will drop you off at Citywalk and return you back. The Velvet Bar have musicians playing and the highlight of our holiday was watching Marcus Gullem play at night. He is so talented, friendly and will take requests. He is so good he made our holiday. He only plays for a couple of nights each month so make sure you book when he is there. His wife is lovely too.
