Schedule a demolition team, please! I must preface my review by stating that from the moment of entering the lobby, our interaction with staff, the uncomfortable surroundings, the foul odors within the main lobby and hallways should have told me what to expect… it was not what you would call accommodating in any way, shape of form. Having the opportunity to regularly stay over many accommodations across and occasionally outside the country, not a professional hotel reviewer by any means, and not a regular business traveler - but as a primarily pleasure and needs wanderer, I have developed as what I believe is my concise method for scoring the worthiness of each hotel visited. My criteria are as follows and the results are: 1) ease of access to and from public or private ground transportation [Score:4.0]; 2) convenient and safe parking [Score:3.5]; 3) access, accuracy and convenience of check in and check out [Score:3.0]; 4) atmosphere, ambience, public facilities, lounging areas and access to an office center and Wi-Fi access [Score:2.0]; 5) overall customer service - including but not limited to Hospitality, Support Services, Concierge knowledge, communication, attitude and demeanor of staff [Score:2.0]; 6) quality, cleanliness, value, convenience, amenities (i.e., ironing board, iron, TV, charging access, phone, et.al.) and comfort of rooms, beds, room safe and/or valet services [Score:2.0]; Taking all the aforementioned categories in a scale of 1 star to 5 stars with 1 being the worst and 5 being the best a hotel can be! This hotel rates less than 2.0 ~ the lowest score I have ever given an accommodation I’ve reserved or stayed at – it was so bad we cancelled our lodger and left for the Hyatt at the Airport. Most positive point(s) at this hotel is/are: good looking and attractive exterior. Most negative points found here are: lobby and hallways on main floor smelled rancid and musty, bathrooms, as my pics show were unusable, rooms smell of both smoke and dog hair abound everywhere, overall structure does not feel safe, very, very uncaring desk staff! My price to value to overall assessment: “schedule a demolition team, please”!

Dodgy - old, smelly and tatty Our flight got turned around at midnight so we had to ring around and find any hotels nearby that we could have for a few hours - I was trying to book a different hotel but the call centre agent who didnt have the best grasp of English booked this one. We arrived at 2.45am - guy on desk checked us in - first off wasnt able to use my revolut card but was fine with chase even though both are online banks in the UK I guess Chase is more of a brick and mortar bank in the US so was acceptable. Guy on reception was friendly enough but told us he would walk us to our room as there was a drunk homeless guy who liked to wander the motel at night - not exactly something you want to hear at 3am as 2 lone women travelling. It was nice he did walk us to our room but also didnt feel safe! I asked about vending machines and the only ones they had were in the lobby but only took $1/5 bills and the guy said the hotel was cashless so no way to break a larger note - the card operated machines were out of use. Room: when we entered the room he immediately turned on the AC - the room smelled fousty and stale, the carpeting looked grotty and the top bed cover was stained with a couple of yellow patches. Peeling back the cover and the sheets inside had some dark black marks near where the feet would be - the bedding smelled okay but was worrying it was stained! The pillows smelled old and used and not sure they had clean pillow cases. Furniture old and dinged but functional. Bathroom clean but had patches of mould, dove products provided. Did a bed bug check and it was clear which was good as it was something I was genuinely concerned about due to how grubby the room was. Bed was comfortable enough and we slept until around 10.30. We did not have breakfast it had very minimal hours like 6-9ish and as we didnt get to bed until after 3am we werent going to get up for it. We did not use any of the facilities - there was a pool, noone was in it when we left. Lifts worked okay. Considering we paid around $130 for a night as we were stuck and needed someplace to stay we deffo feel ripped off and wouldnt recommend this - it should have been half that considering the condition of the place. Due to the fact we felt unsafe because we had to be escorted to our room this is a 1 star and avoid - there are several La Quintas by the hotel - suggest if you really want to stay at one you look at the others!

Stay away...so disgusting that we checked out and checked into another hotel As soon as we walked into the lobby, the smell of cigarette smoke masked with air freshener was staggering (this is supposed to be a non-smoking hotel). The lobby layout was dank, dark, and awkward. When we got to the room, the room smelled of smoke with air freshener, the carpet appeared dull/dirty due to its age, as did the furniture. The sink mirror was so old that it was peeling around the edges and the bathroom put us over the edge, The caulking was so old and moldy. The bathtub had so many patches that the patches were peeling in spots all over the tub. We tried another room but the bathroom was similar. It felt like we were walking onto a cheezie, scary movie set. It was insane that this hotel chain actually CHARGES customers for staying at this hotel. We felt so uncomfortable that we decided to check out and lost the whole amount because it was of course, too late to cancel. We travel quite a bit and have stayed at La Quinta once before but after this worst experience ever...will NEVER stay at La Quinta again given plenty of other hotels from which to choose. It's assumed that hotels have standards across the board. La Quinta does not!
