Hilton Garden Inn Ottawa Airport

Poor and rude customer service Landed at Ottawa airport and called for the shuttle … this mini-shuttle arrived for a maximum of 3 passengers !!! I asked the driver where the other shuttle ? That’s the only one .. you will have to wait ! 15 passengers and luggage were hoping to get to the Hilton . I took a cab …. It’s 1:25 am and arriving from Nunavut. At the hotel very politely i asked what’s the idea about such a small shuttle for so many hotel guests ? The rude lady at the front desk answered that it’s a complimentary shuttle and we can call you a cab ! Well .. well I just arrived by cab ! … We used to get better customer service at this hotel .. it’s going down . The rooms need refresh . Were disappointing and BTW ..I was not greeted !!!

A great choice when flying from Ottawa airport Perfect spot when flying from Ottawa airport We had an early morning flight and thought it would be best to stay extremely close by the airport by staying at this hotel - it was a great idea and we would definitely stay again when flying out. The rooms are oversized, very large and spacious. The kitchenette area very handy, alot of counter space, sink and fridge. Couch and table also in good order. The room has carpet (king room), which was kinda tired / old fashioned, but everything was cleaned well and there were no funky smells. The decorations are not fancy, but they are clean and well maintained l. The common areas/halls were very well kept. We didnt use the shower, so cant speak to that, but the bathroom was large and well lit, the rest of the room could have some better / brighter lighting. The bed was just fine, though we only had one short sleep there. The Wifi and elevator both functioned well. The staff were organized and pleasant to deal with it, check in and check out were easy and quick. We did use the free airport shuttle, I was concerned that it wouldnt be available or would be late, but no need for concern as it was reliable and prompt - even with a 3:00am pickup. We made it to the airport in no time, the shuttle was comfortable We will definitely choose this spot again when wanting to be near by the airport for a flight.

Terrible hotel avoid by all means to stay at Terrible customer service front desk and restaurant! Avoid by all means if you are going on business or need a family vacation. We were going on business for work to Nunavut and our luggage did not make it. We asked for tooth brush they said we do not have! Asked to store our frozen completely sealed bag of frozen fruits and vegetables they said we do not have a freezer on the facility!! Asked the restaurant they started mocking and laughing with the front desk guy! A terrible expérience tried to talk to a manager but no response!!! There are many other hotels in the area where they always provide our need and have free breakfast as well. I advised our government travel team to remove it from the list!

Great one night stay pre-flight! This is very close the airport, so very convenient! Unfortunately when I dropped my rental car at the airport, I tried calling the hotel about six times and no response so I wasn't sure what was happening with the shuttle so I took a cab. Biggest mistake - I had the absolute rudest cab driver I have ever had in my life..... so beyond rude that it flustered me when I got out and I left my fave black hoodie in there! I would avoid cabs from that airport and wait for the shuttle!! The hotel restaurant/bar was delicious and service was excellent!!!! Room very nice and big, comfy bed and pillows and service at front desk excellent! I even had to have someone come up because I had trouble with the tv but it was just user error and there was no guide and it was just very slow to come on! Nice roomy bathroom, keurig in the room, very quiet hotel!!! I highly recommend this airport hotel!!!

Nice hotel, awful food! The hotel is very nice. Pool and hot tub lovely. We ordered room service and it was awful: do not recommend! We waited an hour for flatbread with toppings slid off and stuck to the cardboard, the wrong type of wings from what we ordered and a Cesar salad that cost $10 that consisted of lettuce, 4 crotons and a side of cesar salad dressing. I recommend the hotel, but next time we will order out food for sure!
