A Blend of Comfort, Service, and Impressive Amenities My long-term stay at the Holiday Inn Parliament Hill in Ottawa, particularly in the executive King suite, has been nothing short of exceptional. The spaciousness of the room coupled with its breathtaking view makes for a comfortable and visually appealing environment. Additionally, the gym facilities are impressive for a hotel gym, exceeding the typical expectations with a range of equipment that caters to a comprehensive workout routine. However, what truly sets this establishment apart is its outstanding customer service. Michael from Sales has been instrumental throughout my stay, addressing everything from billing inquiries to ensuring I received the best possible room, enriching my experience significantly. At the Porch restaurant, Jennie's caring and personalized service adds a delightful touch to dining. The front desk staff, including Alex and Aldo, are both a pleasure to interact with and exceedingly helpful. Their collective efforts have made my stay not just comfortable, but truly memorable.

Great location, fabulous service. A modestly sized hotel for Holiday Inn. And a restaurant with a good but limited menu. The staff in this place are particularly helpful and responsive. A shout out to Olivia, Mathew, Omar and Ashima, and Jennie and Achal in the restaurant -- all friendly and enthusiastic in their work. Interestingly, the hotel has 10 floors of guest rooms, of which 6 are occupied by refugees that the government has placed there on a longer term basis. Their presence takes nothing away from the guest experience other than adding a little more to the elevator traffic.

Nice location, spacious rooms, no negatives This was a 5-night stay for work reasons and I'd echo some of the previous reviews in that it is a good location but not entirely central, a nice area close to government buildings, in-room lighting is a bit dim but I'm OK with that, TV screen is huge, room is spacious and AC/heating works well, bed is comfy. Hearing the previous reviews about breakfast I avoided the hotel breakfast as there are nearby offerings -- like the Hilton across the street -- and there are enough restaurants nearby for other meal options. My rating is slightly above the average of other reviewers because I didn't have any negative aspects in my stay there and yes, I would stay again if visiting Ontario.

Room was gross My wife and I are both sensitive to fragrances and allergens. When we reserved our room, we told the hotel this much and asked for a allergy friendly/fragrance free room. They couldn’t have done a worse job accommodating our needs. The room we were in was awful. It smelled like mildew, and the smell was so strong we could taste it and we were nauseous. They gave us the option of another room, but that wasn’t any better as it just smelled like chemicals and perfumes. Additionally, the parking garage was so small I was worried that my car would hit the walls trying to park in the tiny spaces.. They j deactivated our room key at five of 11 in the morning and told me that that’s because check out was at 11 even though the sign in our hotel room said check out was at 12. I would definitely not stay at this place again.
