Beautiful Ocean View The overall rating is for the property with cautions for RCI Exchange Guests. The property is located on high bank ocean front with magnificent ocean views and beach area. Our unit had a partial ocean view that was wonderful. We got a studio unit through RCI exchange with partial kitchen. Do NOT make this mistake! The original set up was meant for a 2-bedroom use. In order to split it into a studio with partial kitchen and one-bedroom with full kitchen and rent them out separately, a partition was necessary to separate the balcony. Because of Oregon coast's strong wind, the fabric partition continually vibrated day and night and the inside door separating the two units rattled incessantly. We could not sleep much at all through the noise and had to check out after 3 nights instead of staying for 7. We were told by local that the windy condition is year-round so come only if you get the entire 2-bedroom unit. Other than not being able to rest at night, everything else was good. Well maintained grounds with good walking paths to beach, the Devil Punch Bowl, restaurant, pool area, and parking lot. Resort offers free golf cart shuttles for limited mobility guests to get around on the resort grounds including getting to your room. There is no elevator!

Stunning view... but that's it! I've been an Oregonian for almost 50 years and this place was on my to do list for so long. Unfortunately, I was disappointed as it was not so clean, outdated and walls are super thin. It can get very noisy! The only thing we really enjoyed was the view but that's all. Parking is on gravel so be prepared to haul your things to the main pathways to your room. They do have golf cart assistance to help you with you travel goods but again, be prepared. Also, please visit their website as it is not updated especially with covid safe guards or updates for their customers. It helps to know what's going on at their facility. As of this date, the restaurant is not open (I believe it is operated independently) so plan on bringing your own food. Don't come and be disappointed of not being prepared. So, contact them by phone directly before you book and make sure it's what you want and what to expect. Amenities listed on their website might not be available due to restrictions when you arrive. Restrictions can change daily.

Excellent location, small rooms. The location along the coast and the view were top notch. However, the buildings and rooms seriously need updating. None of the grills worked and everything looked 80's. Rooms were smalll, especially the bathrooms. Pool view is nice, and the grounds are lush. I would stay again but rent more rooms if two families or teenagers. Sleeps 6 but 4 are in one small hotel size room and 2 on sofa bed.

Awesome view but paper thin walls Wow! Driving up to this property is a treat! Everything on the grounds is beautiful. We were greeted by a friendly staff member and promptly checked in. The trek to our room was a little long but doable and very pretty. The room itself was fairly lackluster but very clean. All the buildings are staggered so that everyone can enjoy the beautiful ocean view. It was great to have a balcony to be able to take it all in. Ours was divided from the neighboring unit by a thick screened panel. Seems like a great idea except the wind hitting it was extremely loud. My husband called down to the desk to see if all the rooms had this. They were very helpful and sent a maintenance person to temporarily remove the panel since the other unit was not rented for the night. Problem solved! We were informed that the onsite restaurant was currently only open for carry out. Bummer. But it is what it is. We got a pizza to go but since we didn't have a room with a kitchen (some units have them) we struggled to eat it without even a napkin. Pizza was so-so. The next day we checked out the heated pool and took the trail to the Devil's Punchbowl. Awesome to be so close. There was even a small winery, ice cream store, and a surf shop with a super friendly dog! Bonus! Later in the day some people checked in to the room next to us. We were in chill mode and they were in party mode. Walls were pretty thin and we could hear everything. All in all the place was very nice - but not great

First time at a resort I'd like to give this place one more try...not accustom to the resort atmosphere, transportation by golf carts, reliance on the golf cart driver to pick us and our belongings up at our car in an unprotected parking lot, driven to our room, relied on the driver to deliver an ice bucket, relied on the driver to get me so that I could pay for and pick up our pizza, reliant on the driver to come get us and return us to our car upon check-out. Occupied room above us made loud creaky noises when people were moving about up there. Nice access to the beach and it's treasures.
