Not Ready for Guests Yet We have stayed in the historic main inn and in both Bottle 1 and 2. (The halves of a cottage that allow pets.) This visit was sad. Ownership has recently changed and they haven't figured things out yet. Like removing a very old used coffee pod as well as cleaning the scummy water reservoir on the coffee machine. The amount of debris/dirt behind the nightstand (which I found while plugging in my charger) was gross. Peeling wallpaper. You get the picture. Yes! In June they are offering 50% off room rates!!!!! But there is NOwhere in Oxford to get a hot breakfast while they figure out how to reopen their restaurant. Call the inn and ask lots of pointed questions on their status before you book. It used to be a favorite of ours.

GHOSTS A PLENTY MY WIFE AND I STAYED AT RMI... AND WE LIVE RIGHT UP THE STREET. WE WANTED TO SEE IF WE COULD HARNESS THE SPIRITS THAT LIVE WITHIN. AS AMATURE GHOST HUNTER WANNABES. WE STAYED IN ROOM 17, WE WERE THE ONLY GUESTS THAT EVENING. AS WE WERE TOLD BY MANY WHO HAVE STAYED AT RMI, THE ACTIVITY CAME ALIVE. I HAD A DVR, EMF DETECTOR, AND A RIM POD ALL SET UP. THE RIM POD STARTED GOING OFF LIKE CRAZY WITHIN 5 MIN OF SETTING UP. IT WAS A INTERESTING EVENING TO SAY THE LEAST. THE FOOD WAS AMAZING, STAFF AMAZING, GHOSTS AMAZING. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Wonderful ! We live nearby and have stayed at the Inn several times, Room 2 is our favorite!! Bathroom is small but everything else is very roomy. Beautiful view of the Tred Avon from the corner windows. Also, very accessible location at the top of the stairs. Food and drink at the Inn are amazing for all meals. Our favorite place to eat whenever we are in town -which is often. BTW- we have never had any experiences with haunting - although I can imagine the spirits might enjoy staying there!

Very nice Room was small, but clean and comfortable. Restaurant for dinner was very nice, but the waiter, yikes, I think his meds wore off! I left my phone charger in the room, and they were nice enough to mail it back to me which I really appreciate!! Oxford is such a nice town, you can just park your car at the inn and walk around if the weather is nice.
