Butler Inn

Not great.. needs improvement. I get that they tried to redo what was probably an old motel , however there were some misses for sure. The staff was friendly. I will say that. The rooms appear to be newly redone , but when you look , there are things that are not good. The bathroom was gross. It smelled. Mold on the ceiling and it was cracking and falling apart. The vent fan was filthy and behind the toilet was gross. The lighting. Is not good. Fluorescent lighting on the only mirror ( small mirror ) was horrible. There were no shelves in the showers , so shampoo had to be placed on the floor. This is not ok. There was only a soap dish. That is all. Very small vanity area and the room needed a long mirror. There was plenty of room for one. I would never pay more than I did for the night ( $89). Probably would not stay again

Terrible. I am really having a hard time believing that the posted reviews are real. When I arrived I had a hard time opening the door. The maid was nearby and showed me how to put my foot on it to kick it open. The room was clean but very outdated. I was with a colleague and I had the inner bed. The internet was so weak I could not use my laptop my entire stay. My friend plugged her phone in the outlet by the bed. I used the lamp on the desk. We each found out the next morning the both outlets were loose and nothing charged. The bathroom outlet did not work either. I had to get an extension cord because we each only found one outlet that worked. When we returned on the second day neither of our keys worked and we had to go to the office to have them reset. We paid an exorbitant amount nearly because it was an event weekend on campus. When talking with others at our conference, we found most have much nicer rooms at a much lower price. I would not recommend this motel to anyone and I am surprised it is listed in the chamber of commerce brochure.

Reviews are real. Needed one night before staying in pricey cabin at nearby State park. Been coming to Oxford for years and picked Butler Inn because of positive online reviews. Pleasantly surprised how nice this older motel is. Spotless, updated room and bath. Best value in Oxford.

Wish I found this gem sooner. Convenient, clean, affordable. Friendly staff focused on great service My son is a senior at Miami and I only wish I had found this gem sooner. Friendly staff, vey clean, recently renovated, comfortable. We took my son back to school and decided to stay overnight. The Butler Inn had a room available at a great price. Very satisfied.

Far, but quiet and cute! This is an amazing hotel! Honestly, besides it being far from Cincinnati itself, the drive isn’t that bad. It’s actually quite peaceful! The area, Oxford, is a very cute town. The hotel is quiet and clean! The staff was amazing, nice and caring! They definitely communicated well with me with everything! I would book here again!
