Comfortable, Convenient One-Night Stay My partner and I spent a night at the Comfort Inn in Oxon Hill, MD, while in town to see Diana Ross at the MGM National Harbor Resort and Casino. In was fine for a one-night stay. Check-in was at 3 p.m., but we were allowed to check in at 2:40, which we appreciated. We stayed in room 506. The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. It provided the basics: a flatscreen tv, a small refrigerator, a microwave, a safe, an iron, an ironing board, a clock, and a coffee machine. The bathroom sink sat outside of the bathroom across from the closet (the faucet needed tightening). We were provided with lots of towels and two bars of soap. The twin beds were comfortable. After returning to the room after the concert, we slept very well. A free basic continental breakfast was provided beginning at 6:30 a.m. The selection did not look appealing to us, so we ate elsewhere. The hotel is in a convenient location. The MGM and National Harbor are about a 10-minute drive. There is a Burlington clothing store, an Aldi's grocery store, an Italian restaurant, and some fast food places near the hotel. The hotel is pretty basic, but it was a comfortable, convenient one-night stay for us.

A pleasant Surprise Having read all the recent somewhat negative reviews I thought I should share my 3 night stay there from last week. The hotel especially my room was very clean and seemed to have recently been decorated. The bed was really comfortable, It was a queen room so actually contained 2 queen beds. The bathroom was good, had a clean bath/shower with plenty of hot water and a selection of nearly new fluffy towels. There is also in-room coffee/tea maker, fridge and microwave. I had the included Breakfast each day, which included a selection of cold and Hot food items, plus hot and cold drinks. My dealings with reception was friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Janet and Phyllis. The near by Chicken restaurant was handy as was Lilly's Kitchen too, which is a short 5 min walk max.

Eh. Checked in about 830pm. The desk clerk came right out to what you could say was to greet us. Just mumbled something about us checking in. He didnt speak or explain. He just put his hand out and said need your ID. Zero pleasantries. Elevator smelled like pot the whole time. Could use a big makeover. I didn't expect much and that's exactly what I got, nothing much. The room and bed were ok. Only there for the night, luckily.

Hotel needs MAJOR RENOVATIONS ASAP!!!! My family and I stayed at tis hotel for thanksgiving week. I booked two rooms. The staff were very helpful and polite. I use comfort Inn a lot and I am Diamond customer, and this hotel was charging a $25.00 early check in fee, if you checked in early. Mind you that is waivered for Diamond customers. I had to sit in the lobby for 20 mins with other customers before we could check in. This Hotel is in BAD SHAPE. The breakfast area wasn’t bad but some of the kitchen cooking equipment needs to be upgraded. It is way overdue for its much-needed turnover renovations. When we went to the first two rooms the smell was so overbearing with spray as if the house keep was trying to cover up an order. We requested nonsmoking rooms, but they all smell like smoke. We went to the front desk and requested two different rooms. The two new rooms we requested were no better. The bathroom had black mold in the shower. The shower knobs were very hard to operate to turn on and off. The bathroom faucet never turned off. The furniture was very beat up. The hallways smell like marijuana. The computer for the business center needs all new computers and a printer altogether it runs extremely slow and out dated. Sade to say when I read reviews about this place, they seemed great and recent. Well, someone is lying because this place needs help. The head Corp. Office for Comfort Inn Suites needs to go visit this property and do a Turnover Renovation ASAP.

Don’t come!!! How disgusting it is to be here. Staff extremely rude to customers, rooms extremely dirty. They do not pick up garbage. The AC vent is covered in dust. As soon as I walked in, I started sneezing, and I don’t suffer from allergies. I opened the AC vent and it was covered in dust. As a matter of fact, you can see the balls of dust from the AC unit. Dirty walkways. The ONLY good thing about this place is the nice lady that works in the kitchen during breakfast hours. Never coming back!!!
