Charming historic inn, perfectly located. Charming, quaint inn. Wonderfully located. Is it shiny & new? nope! but it was comfortable, lovely and enjoyable. Walking distance to all the great stuff, beach and restaurants. So glad we stayed here! was initially looking at Santa Monica and this is much quieter, more beautiful area, and less touristy. I see the other review concerns- we had no concerns at all about safety, quiet or cleanliness.

Sewage odor, late checkin Had high hopes after a pleasant stay in 2021. Sadly, our 2024 visit was terrible. Shower water in a cottage had a sewage odor. The adjacent bedroom had a similar odor. Checkin was unreasonably late at 4 p.m. No promised text messages on room availability. Hotel was apparently sold to Kirkwood in 2022 and perhaps new management is cutting corners.

Beautiful spot but very tired I give this a hotel 3 stars and that’s only because of the location. We stayed in a cottage that was very dated and tired. The furniture was old and beat up, the bed frame was not attached to bed and was resting against the wall with huge gauges in the wall. The blinds were chipped, cracked and warped. The carpet was old and needs to be replaced. The whole unit could use a new paint job and the dated wallpaper needs to go. The place has potential but needs some help.

Noisiest hotel ever! This is the noisiest accommodation I have ever stayed in! The walls are super thin and you can hear people stomping in the rooms above you talking in the lobby, traffic and dogs barking on the street. It was almost impossible to go to sleep at night time. The other main problem is the shower temperature. I spent 10 minutes trying to get it to an agreeable temperature and would turn the cold on just a little and all the sudden it would be freezing. Turn the other way just barely and then it’s scalding. Once you get it set to something workable be prepared for a cold blast! That is the most aggravating and uncomfortable experience. I they also do not have any premium channels or access to Netflix or prime video, so if you get sick, like I did you will be laying in bed, listening to all the noise around you with a bunch of crappy daytime TV programs to watch. No small refrigerator, loose hardware in the bathroom, dated furniture. It is beautiful on the outside, and in a fabulous location, but I will not stay here again.

Not a "Honeymoon" This property overpromised, yet undelivered. " The reason for our scores and review of this property is the Zero response from the host to questions we raised following our 1-night stay. Even AirBnB couldn't get a response from the host to these questions...! * It is dangerous to get in/out of the shower area. The shape of the bath makes it difficult. The shower is pretty poor. * The fridge is way too noisy to encourage sleep. * Light comes in from the door with an inadequate blind that does not make sleep easy. Getting dressed this morning my wife sees a man looking in from the seat by the ice machine. Zero privacy. * The door to the bathroom is full glass. If you need the toilet in the night light pours into the bedroom * The industrial ice machine right outside the door to this room is very noisy * To describe yogurt and granola (nice as it was) as “breakfast” is stretching it. (description updated since visit Hmmm) * There is no parking space provided as per the description. If you are not one of the first 6 to arrive then you park in the street. On a positive note, the bed was comfy and the place was clean. Not somewhere I would want to "Honeymoon
