Warm and cozy We stayed here for our anniversary and the Sunset Inn was perfect! The room is warm and cozy. It was newly remodeled and very clean. The staff are all very welcoming and kind. It’s a great location.. close to beach and to restaurants, but not in the middle of all the tourists. We’ll be back!

Can’t recommend-too many lies I wish I could recommend this hotel as the rooms are nice, and it’s in a quiet and pretty location. But unfortunately, the management team is dishonest and this is unacceptable. When we checked in, we discovered we had some kind of resort fee. I was happy to pay it, but hadn’t expected it. The man working the front desk told me it was the third party who was charging the fee and not them. This was a lie. I looked at several booking sites and all clearly state this is a hotel fee. It was such a dumb thing to lie about. If this had been it, I’d have given a decent review. But unfortunately the next evening we returned to the hotel after a 12h swim meet and found we had no hot water. My daughter was tired and cold and needed a shower and to go to bed. I reported the issue to management and asked if there was another room we could use. He told me they were sold out. He then spent over 30 minutes asking a repair person to come out—and clearly the person didn’t want to come (it was like 10pm). While he was on the phone, I was waiting, and my daughter was close to tears. There was also a gentleman who was waiting to get ice and he had to wait the entire time the manager was on the phone. I was told the water would be fixed in the next few hours. I told the manager we were just going to go to another hotel as we needed to shower and go to bed. Somehow he then miraculously remembered he had a room we could use for the shower?! It took us like five minutes to get our daughter showered and we just went without. The room seemed like it was used by the manger or someone on site because it smelled like someone had just used the bathroom to go #2. When I returned the key, the manger said the plumber would be there soon. I asked if he needed room access and he said no. So we put our daughter to bed and then we heard a knock. The plumber needed us to show him the shower. He then left to fix it and then came back and knocked again so we could check the water. At this point it was 11:00pm. The next day, there was a different person at the desk who was completely unapologetic about the hot water and wouldn’t give us any credit and didn’t even say she was sorry for the inconvenience. I have been in many hotels where there are issues but usually management just apologizes. In this case, it was lies, lies, lies. In terms of the room itself, the bathroom is inconvenient because there is no where to put any toiletries. In fact, mine fell off the side of the sink into the toilet. I have stayed at many other hotels in the area and will choose a different option next time. I would have been likely to come back if the management had just been honest and apologized.

Lovely Hotel & Extraordinary Customer Service! Lovely hotel run by people who genuinely care about your experience. The general manager who booked my room was very thoughtful and went out of his way to make sure we were well taken care of. I had a minor request for breakfast and he had it delivered to my room each morning during our stay. I was so impressed by the location as well - it's in a quiet neighborhood right by Asilomar Beach with beautiful walking trails. Amazing!!! The hotel is set in Pacific Grove which is just a stone's throw away from Monterrey. I'm so glad that we booked this location as it was everything we hoped it would be and more! Thank you for your extraordinary customer service!
