Good Overnight Stay On our way to Hilton Head, we stayed at this hotel for one night as a 1/2 way stop. Our first impression wasn't that great because the person behind the counter was a bit surly. The room and bathroom were clean. We took advantage of the pool area. It was lovely but the outside table and chairs need a serious cleaning. We were on the second floor and the pipes rattled all night. We had to spend another night there on our way back from Hilton Head. The GM, Pete checked us in right away. Very pleasant person and remembered us from our first stay. He told us that the hotel is being taken over by Holiday Inn and will be going through major renovation in June of this 2024. The breakfast is not that great. Only microwave sandwiches and donuts. We stayed on the first floor so the pipes didn't keep me up. It was OK for one night.

Professional and courteous service We had a reservation issue and Pete Arney, the general manager, was terrific! He took care of all my concerns in a professional and pleasant manner, and reinforced that being an IHG rewards member come with expectations you can count on. It was a pleasure dealing with him.

Hopefully gets better when Holiday Inn transition complete This hotel is transitioning to a Holiday Inn. The outside looks pretty decent, even though the signage is still outdated. Inside it still needs tons of work. It needs new carpet, flooring, paint etc. I give it 3 stars because it was fairly clean, and the staff is very friendly. We stayed here with 2 dogs and it's sometimes hard to find hotels that will accommodate pets. Don't expect a lot for breakfast. It's adequate but definitely not up to Holiday Inn standards. Hopefully better days are ahead for this property.

NOISY Pipes!!!! OK . . . this hotel is undergoing a change from Days Inn to IHG. We knew that going in and were afraid based upon recent reviews. The staff was very friendly and while in desperate need of upgrading, the hotel overall was fairly clean. The big issue was the constantly rattling pipes in the walls. We stayed in room 208 and the pipes made so much noise, we couldn't sleep. We spoke with a night manager and was told that the issue is very low water pressure from the city and while it is being addressed the only way to reduce the noise is to run water in the bathtub. Unfortunately, there were no other rooms available. OK . . . while running some water in the bathtub did reduce the pipe noise, it certainly wasn't ideal and the sound of running water was almost as annoying. While the room was clean, there was a very noticeable boot print on one of the sheets . . . not cool folks. There is a breakfast however it is VERY 'continental'. We opted to eat at Cracker Barrel. Hopefully, these issue will be addressed soon however until then, we will not be back.
