GREAT RESORT, but............................. Did not go this year, but have been several times. Comfortable rooms, incredible pool (with large deep end). Front office staff customer focused. ONLY negative, is that the Resort has really "jacked" up their prices, whereas they use to be more reasonable. Close to shops & restaurants. PRICE is the only thing that may keep me from returning. I think there was a change of ownership.

You don't need what you reserved says Manager Chris I thought Shadow Mountain Resort was one of the best. I just checked in with Manager Chris to a studio. Weeks before I checked in, I confirmed the studio has a fully equipped kitchen including an oven and Shadow Mountain emailed me back and confirmed YES you have an oven (see photo). I am in the room and there is no oven. I showed Manager Chris and he said that was their mistake and if I want an oven it will cost me $90+ per night more. Terrible customer server from Manager. He even told me that I didn't really need an oven. So weird and had no integrity. And the saddest thing is I am here during high season and nothing else around for a week. Stuck at a resort with no integrity and spending more money on restaurants. Do yourself a favor and skip this resort Managed by Chris.

Felt right at home, BEAUTIFUL grounds and POOL :) The Resort is operated by a private company which hosts private condos for rent; some condo owners rent at the resort through Airbnb. The Resort owns the pools and grounds- and restaurant - so if you book via Airbnb, you may not have access to the HUGE beautiful figure 8 pool. This should not prevent you from booking because you can make arrangements to gain access to the pool and amenities. We did book with the Resort and were very happy with the stay and the condo- fully equipped (large Fridge) etc modern with granite and new appliances, dishes, knives etc in single with a nice bathroom and dbl sided vanity. Bed was comfortable and there was a pull out sofa, outdoor patio with a floor to ceiling sliding glass door to view the mountains, pool and flowers. The Staff at the front desk, housekeeping and the restaurant (Javier and his wife) were all truly pleasant and nice people. We ran into them at the Mall and they remembered us by name and we chatted like old friends. To go somewhere different, and feel at home is a wonderful gift!

Great Coachella weekend stay at Shadow Mountain Resort I stayed at the shadow mountain resort whilst attending coachella as we wanted somewhere relatively close to the festival. It was in a great location in Palm Desert close to El Paseo and was only 1 mile to the coachella shuttle stop & large supermarket Albertsons. When we arrived it was late at night so it’s the security team who checked us in, they were great & helpful! When we got to our condo it exceeded our expectations. It was super clean and much bigger than we had thought. It had a fully equipped kitchen, 2 bathrooms & 2 patio areas. It had everything we needed for the weekend. Also on site is a large swimming pool and poolside bar, a gym, tennis courts and laundry rooms dotted around the resort. The swimming pool could do with a clean but the overall pool area was very clean and lots of Sun beds. We had a great time at shadow mountain and would definitely stay again.

FUN IN THE SUN AUGUST 2021 . stayed here again for my husbands birthday. this time we invited 60 friends! the guys played golf and the women lounged at the pool, shopped, or went to casino. the staff here is wonderful. we are caters so we provided all the food and also feed the staff. the bar was open and we feed them too. now some of the rooms are being renovated but that was ok since we spent 95% of the time outside. such a wonderful place the group wants to go back. COVID - you are basically with your own group inside. and most of the time you're outside so mask only when going to bar or lobby. since it's condo living the rooms are cleaned upon request or when you leave. let the front desk know if you need ANYTHING. stairs no elevator for 2nd floor units so be mindful. the 2bedrooms are nice like apartments and 1 level. there are small kitchens with no ovens just stove tops in some rooms. others had large full size kitchens. just ask. there are plenty of restaurants and stores near by. also a mall is down the street. very convenient if you dont want to cook.
