Cute exteriors, poor interiors I had read about this place in magazine a few years back and had high expectations, especially at 550 a night, but it did not deliver. Like other reviewers mentioned, it's a bit too old and rustic for the price. I stayed in the adobe room, which was small and had sparse furniture. There was only one outlet in room and one in the closet behind the fridge which made difficult to charge our phones. There are no blackout curtains so it's bright very early in the morning. The bathroom is small ( NY apt small) and there is no vanity to put makeup on. I did it on console table adjacent. We lost power in the room while blow drying my hair, twice. The plumbing also made loud noise during the night.
Pros: attentive staff, breakfast, powerful A/C, heated pool, feather pillows, refrigerator
Cons: Small, dingy, no dresser, no tv, bad plumbing, need to skim pool more frequently, curtains don't block light.

Disappointing, Dingy & Dark I've been looking forward to staying at this hotel for years. The grounds of Korakia Pensione are beautiful - covered in bright flowers and palm trees. At night, candles are lit around the property with several fire pits and a comfy area to watch outdoor movies. The pools were quiet and relaxing and we enjoyed the included breakfast and afternoon tea.
The rooms, however, could use some TLC. They are very rustic, which isn’t always a bad thing, but some attention to detail, and updating would help.
Better lighting - our room wasn’t just dimly lit, it was just plain DARK. It made it hard to get ready in the evening.
Privacy - there isn’t any because the rooms have thin wooden windows and doors that look nice, but are not sealed in any way. There are gaps between/under them. Our bungalow was surrounded by glass doors, but it was right next to the pool so people were lounging a foot from our room and everyone could see in if we opened the curtains (which didn’t really provide privacy either, or block any light). You can hear everything going on outside and vice versa. It was uncomfortable and felt like a fishbowl. There is also a lot of photography booked in this space, so be prepared for wedding/engagement photographers and influencers setting up cameras everywhere.
Comfort & amenities - The furniture was minimal, uncomfortable and very much “fashion over function”. There was one folding luggage stand but no other place to put your things such as a dresser or wardrobe. My husband had his suitcase on the ground. The bathroom lacked space to put toiletries and the stone felt dingy and slimy in the shower. The “bathtub” looked so gross there was no way we were using it. The kitchen had a full set of pots and pans but no utensils; and a kettle with no dish towel or pot holder to pick it up when hot. As far as room/poolside service goes, they’ve partnered with a local restaurant and offer to deliver to you for a 30% fee. It’s no different from ordering delivery, just more expensive.
The absolute worst part was coming back from dinner to find five HUGE cockroaches in our room. We managed to squash two of them but the others easily ran under the big gaps in the doors. Since we were forced to put our things on the floor because there was no furniture, we were worried they would crawl into our luggage. That was the last straw and we left two days early to stay at a different hotel. The manager was very kind and offered to credit us for one night, which we did not expect but really appreciated.
This place has so much potential, but really misses the mark.

Old World Charm If your looking for a resort with old world charm, a relaxing, quiet adult atmosphere with excellent personalized service, Korakia Pensione will exceed your expectations. The resort provides internet but no televisions. There is no bar service but we bought wine, beer and other beverages locally and wine glasses were quickly delivered to our patio. There is not a full restaurant on site but excellent breakfasts are provided and guests are encouraged to order lunch and/or dinner from the menu of a local restaurant to a table nicely set by the staff on the main patio. Wonderful local restaurants are a short walk from the resort which allowed us to take advantage downtown Palm Springs. Personal beverages are allowed by the pool. No need to rent a car while staying here as everything is within a short walk or quick ride on the resort provided bicycles. We look forward to returning in the future.

My second stay here- and unfortunately my last I recently stayed at this property and there were some issues. I received a "welcome" email two days prior to my arrival with details about my upcoming stay. I then received another "welcome" email the day before my check-in. The details were totally different on both emails (check-in /check-out time, early check-in, etc..). I had to call and clarify the details. No where on either email does it mention they are not offering housekeeping services at this time (nor is that mentioned on their website). We had other friends staying at two different properties in town and both of their hotels were offering housekeeping services. This is something they should notify guests of in advance (especially when you are paying $985 per might to stay there). I had to ask twice for additional towels/toiletries and upon checkout, they sent me the wrong invoice. I made them aware of this error and followed up the next day. I have not yet received the correct receipt.

Travel without flying I'd been wanting to come here for years. Finally, it was able to happen, booked the large Orchard House, which is stunningly beautiful on the Mediterranean side of the property. The orchard patio is gorgeous at night when its lit up with lanterns. The private jacuzzi, which was one of the main reasons we the orchard House, was not working, and didn't get repaired until after we checked out. If it was working I would've definitely given it 5 stars.
Breakfast is served on the Morrocan side. It's the perfect portion with stunning views.
At this property you feel like you're somewhere else, somewhere special. Tons of restaurants are around for dine in or delivery.
Travel without flying. This is the place!
