Very Meh This hotel is a true example of "putting lipstick on a pig". From pictures you'll see where the "renovations" fell short. Hopefully, these items will be addressed and allow the property to rise to its full potential. The location is great (seemingly safe, quiet area close to shopping); the staff was pleasant and professional, except Justin. He was very rude and unprofessional, with a sarcastic attitude when I asked about moving my 2 of my 4 rooms next to each other because we were traveling with teenagers in the 2nd room. His was response "did you not hear me when I said the rooms were on the same floor?" As if I suddenly became hearing impaired because he provided an inadequate response to my question. The young lady who completed my check-in was pleasant and courteous, and even though the rooms weren't moved closer, she provided a reasonable explanation (unlike Justin who simply said "I've already assigned your rooms and I can't change them because there are no vacant rooms"). This response didn't make sense to me because I questioned the room assignment well before check in. The explanation provided by the young lady is there are several extended stay guests which limits vacancy options (maybe it's a long-term stay hotel for homeless people or something). Other than the imperfections in the DIY renovations and Justin's nasty attitude, it was an overall pleasant stay. FYI, the breakfast mediocre and the lobby is under renovations so it's not very welcoming when you enter (honestly, it's make the hotwl look very sketchy and low-budget).

Great service but ZERO insulation. I would like to give Naomi 5 stars and lovely young lady who works 2nd shift. I don't know her name. Naomi was very helpful to our large family while we were here for 3 weeks house hunting. But I do give 3 stars because the insulation was so bad my next door neighbor made me feel so uncomfortable every time I fed my baby I lost half my supply. I never been shamed for feeding my baby before let alone in my own room! Anyway, this hotel is under renovation. I was very comfortable in my 2 bedroom suite for the most part. The beds they had were comfortable. Housekeeping was fantastic. Thank you for everything.

Booking.com no bueno Booked through booking.com we never recieved a cancellation confirmation so we continued to our reservation here, to find that w our booking had indeed been cancelled. Stranded out here Naomi saved us and got us into another room during an incredibly busy period. Give her a payrise top notch performance_

Run down and gross This hotel should be ashamed of themselves. The room was absolutely filthy. We ended up switching rooms, to one that was somewhat cleaner, but I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Furniture was plastic and falling apart, beds were comfy, but the bathroom was disgusting, carpet was coming up and stained in the hallway. This is what you would expect in a 1 star hotel half the price not one claiming to be a 3 star.

Simply Amazing! We've always loved ES, and this one definitely went above and beyond. In 2021, we had a terrible experience with ES Valley View in Vegas, and took a break from the chain. This time around we wanted to try the Sonesta brand, and I'm glad to report that we had a very pleasant experience. I loved the location - away from busyness of everything else, yet close enough to NY and other fun places in NJ. Our room was super spacious with separate bedroom and living area. I must add that this was our main reason for choosing this hotel. Everything worked as it should. The beds were super comfortable, pillows super fluffy. The facility is welcoming, looks very clean and seems well maintained. We found the staff to be friendly and so were the guests. After busy days out, we appreciated the quietness allowing for ample rest. We loved that they switched up breakfast offers, so there wasn't monotony. This was important to us since we were traveling with our teenagers. We stayed July 11-15; and the high standards remained the same. Sonesta Parsippany has now become our to-go-to.
