Family Vacation 2024 Fantastic family vacation. Fun for all ages. Our family of ten, children and grandchildren stayed for an unforgettable week vacation. Laid back relaxing. The beach area is beautiful, the pool and play areas were well loved. Food options are endless. Close to everything.

Significantly gone downhill This place has really gone downhill. We have been coming here for over 15 years (about 22 family members) and each year it has gone down a few notches. Pros: The grounds are still very well maintained and beautiful. Different settings can accommodate different size families and budgets The Coastal Dish free breakfast buffet was excellent!!! Cons: There doesn’t appear to be a consistent standard of upkeep and care associated with the units. We were a large group with 5 different places. All of us agreed our units were not updated or taken care of in years. We stayed in Bridgewater 527. The unit was poorly maintained and in desperate need of care. We hated the unit despite the amazing view. My sister stayed in Summerhouse and had no hot water and was told it would take 4 days to fix. My brother was in Sandpiper and the elevator was not working and my sister in law is handicapped and needed the elevator. The front desk response was “ the hoa deals with that, not us”. Are you kidding me?? Totally unacceptable.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!! Stayed at the Bridgewater from July 24-July 26th. Awful experience. Marketed as a ""Resort" - but have never been to a Resort that does not offer pool towels. Unit was dirty - left over food from prior residents in fridge, no lights working in living room, toilet broke, both beds had sand in the sheets. Had to wait 45 minutes for a free breakfast via Summer Celebration promotion. Witnessed housekeeping attempting to enter room while do not disturb sign was present. Asked while leaving the room if we wanted pest service performed. When we posed questions to the front desk, they responded that it was the individual HOA who was responsible. Pool did not open until 9:00 a.m. but allowed partiers in pool area until 11:00 p.m. Filthy, overflowing trash containers every morning in the hallways. DO NOT MARKET YOURSELF AS A RESORT WHEN ALL YOU ARE IS A PROPERTY MANAGEMENT FIRM!!! Spoke to front office manager on several occasions and she agreed to credit us the housekeeping fee as well as one night stay free. However, upon checkout, she lied and said she did not agree to the one night stay for free. A HUGE FRAUD! A $319 room becomes $505 with all of the added costs, such as gate fee, resort fee, taxes, etc. DEFINITELY NOT A RESORT!!!

Significant breach of trust with no apology We recently took a family trip to this facility. During our stay, someone from the resort came into our room and took all my clothes out of one of the closets. Apparently a prior guest had called and said they left some clothes in the room, so without notice or any attempt at contacting us the resort management just decided to take everything they could find, and then make me specifically tell them which items were mine before they would return it. Yes - it was some clothes, but what this represents is a MASSIVE breach of trust and safety - if at the drop of a hat, they are willing to send someone in to take any property they find, and THEN force the renter to have to inventory everything that was taken in order to get it back, that's not a location anyone should knowingly rent from.

5 star prices for a 3 star resort For the past four years, my family has cherished our visits to Litchfield Beach Resort, which we once considered our hidden gem due to its reasonable prices and superb experience. Unfortunately, in recent years, changes in the resort’s pricing model have made it difficult to justify the cost. While some units remain well-kept, others are in need of updates. The new service fee, reminiscent of Airbnb’s model, has significantly increased the total cost of our stay. The nightly rate seems reasonable until these additional fees double the final bill. As a loyal customer, the excessive service fee feels unjustified. I urge management to reconsider and remove this fee. The resort’s location is excellent, featuring a clean and uncrowded beach area. The daily breakfast at The Deck is a highlight and highly recommended. The hotel staff are consistently friendly and helpful.
