Our favorite getaway spot This had been our second stay at Kohl's Ranch Lodge and we love it. Fresh mountain air and beautiful views. The rooms are cozy and comfortable. Electric fire place and all the kitchen necessities you need. We'll be returning here for future stays to get out of the city.

Our new family destination The resort was beautiful and well maintained. The cabin was cozy and had everything we needed. We loved being right on the creek and having a huge, private porch. There were many activities provided by the resort making our stay with two small children stress free and fun. They offer put-put, giant chess, bocca ball, horseshoes, volleyball, pickle ball, checkers, and have boardgames to take to your room. There are many trails nearby too. We will be coming back as often as we can!

Excellent - only problem was internet - WiFi This is a beautiful resort inside and out. Staff members are helpful and give excellent customer service. They really want you to have a perfect stay. Our cabin was clean, comfortable, had a full kitchen and had great beds. We stayed in #303 and had the creek right behind us. It was too cold for us to sit out on the back porch, but it was an idyllic setting. It’s geographic location was good for us because it was within an hour or 2 to visit the places we wanted to go. The one issue was the erratic WiF- internet coverage. It’s not that it’s completely absent, but it’s sporadic which meant a constant need to turn off the WiFi repeatedly to connect. Since we have Verizon, our hotspot availability was also sporadic, but we were able to get good connections if we went to Payson (about 15 minutes away). For some people this might actually be a positive to be disconnected from the world of phones, social media and work; but it wasn’t a positive for us.

Great experience in a pinch My wife and I travelled with our two young children to Pine to celebrate her birthday weekend. Plans had changed and the place we were supposed to stay at was no longer an option, so I needed to find us a place to stay for the night. I was able to find Kohl's Ranch Lodge within 30ish miles and it had great reviews so I booked immediately thinking it was just a room. Once there, we were not disappointed. Not only was this a literal cabin all to ourselves, but the view in the back patio area overlooked a small creek where we watched the snowfall and animals passing by. I had also packed all of the necessary things I needed to make sushi for the family and thought we could no longer do it because of the change of plans from earlier. Then we checked the cupboards and of coarse, they had everything I needed to make it! This was probably the best home away from home experience we have experienced together so far, and it actually turned out to be the best birthday my wife has had.

Great escape from City Life This is a great escape from city life. We felt like we traveled back in time. No cell service. We found that we could make calls/texts using WiFi mode. Walk into a room that has a telephone and a clock radio. Very comfortable studio. We had a large refrigerator and could heat food. The fireplace adds a nice ambiance. Flatscreen TV is up to date and we were able to use our Firestick. The onsite restaurant is a nice touch. Food and pricing are good. Service is very slow, but we read previous reviews and took that into account. Parking was convenient. I only caution you on one thing. Coffee. They have very sad, sorry coffee at this place. I talked to the front desk. Apparently, their supplier can no longer get the premium coffee. Bring your own coffee grounds to make it in your room.
