Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Peekskill -Lower Hudson Valley by IHG

Good quality, clean and modern interior, poor location Clean and modern, good quality hotel but not the greatest location. Our room was clean and convenient, with plenty of counter space and low noise level. The location isnt the greatest. There is a lot of trucking across the street and nothing else really nearby. There is a boardwalk trail connecting a riverside park and pier to more park space in town, good for a jog. Breakfast is fairly typical for this tier. Overall this is a good quality hotel option for the town of Peekskill as long as you are driving.

Very poor customer service from IHG We've stayed at this property many, many times and have not been disappointed until now. While our last visit was in August 2024, we have plans for another stay in November 2024 - after making that reservation, that's when the issues started. We reserved a room using a combination of points and cash. What was NOT apparent at the time of booking was the policy that the cash portion of the stay would immediately be posted to the customer's credit card. Any refund, upon cancellation, would be refunded via points not credit back to the original card. I only discovered this after the cash portion was posted to my credit card. When I tried to discuss this fact with a representative from IHG (corporate owners), I was told that the policy is clearly stated on the website - IT IS NOT. I am not an amateur at booking travel arrangements on line. I told the rep that if this policy existed, a pop up message should have appeared advising the user what would happen if you used a combination of points and cash. Instead, the policy is buried in a drop down menu which most people and experienced travelers would not look at. As she responded to my questions, she was definitely reading from her script and kept repeating the policy rather than helping this customer find a solution. At some point, I hung up. We are keeping our reservation because of the convenience of the hotel BUT will consider finding another property to use for a future visit to the area - and, there will be a future visit. I was really disappointed in the customer service and the unwillingness to find a solution not only to the current problem but to the issues with information on the website.

Exceptional Stay! Although this is not a five star hotel, it was great stay! Staff was helpful and friendly, room was exceptionally clean and up to date, bedding and mattresses perfect, and VERY quiet. Easy access from highway, lots of parking availability. Complimentary breakfast was simple, but good. ( Cereal, eggs, omelet. sausages, juices, hot pastries, and pancakes). Dining room is spacious and very clean.

Great room, great desk staff, breakfast cold and watered down. Room was very comfortable as was bed and clean and new looking. Breakfast was not run well. Cold sausage and water down juices. So watered they were clear with a little color. Food manager said that’s how he keeps them. But they did have milk available that was not Tampered with or watered down. Check In Staff was amazing and great. Pool was perfect and warm. Overall great stop for a good rest.

Good place for an overnight stay We recently spend the night to be close to a wedding venue. Check-in was a breeze, pleasant front desk employees. Room was clean, bed and pillows were comfy! We did not utilize the pool or fitness area. Breakfast was decent. Only complaints is that there is only one elevator, but hotel had 3 wedding parties staying there. You can always use the stairs! Unfortunately the A/C in our room was extremely loud and did not seem to be working properly. For the amount of time we were in room, it sufficed
