Great Philly exp! Room w/ full kitchen was great… real fridge/freezer, real dishes and cutlery, at the end we just threw everything in the dishwasher. IDEAL location RIGHT across the street from Reading Market and steps away from key sites, Chinatown, the stunning Chinese Lantern Festival, etc. The staff were so friendly, helpful and responsive. Parking was easy. Sofa bed was fine. Decent workout room, though the pool is small. Free breakfast wasn’t our fave but the free coffee was great! We’ll be back!! :)

Ms. Vanessa Hackett is the best Front Desk Customer Service Associate I have had the pleasure to meet From the moment we met Ms. Vanessa Hackett, when we walked into the Home2 Suites by Hilton - Philadelphia Convention Center, we knew we were in good hands. My cousin had finished a business meeting in Philly and my younger sister had just flown in from the West Coast. We were not checking into the hotel until later that afternoon. Vanessa was at the front desk and kindly accepted our suitcases, bags and backpacks, while providing claim tags. She was welcoming and helpful, a cool breeze and stark contrast from the hot, humid and miserable day. This was my first experience staying at a Home2 Suites Hotel and because of Vanessa's professionalism, friendliness and genuine caring manner, my impression of this brand of Hilton Hotel was very favorable. I will definitely stay at another Home2 Suites Hotel in the future. As a customer service associate, she serves as the first impression and face of Hilton and this specific brand. I was immediately impressed by her. We had contact with Vanessa over the full four days we stayed at the hotel and I repeatedly saw how she interacted with the hotel guests. She had a great rapport with her kid guests. I observed a charming interaction where she was going to interview a kid for a job at the hotel. The child seemed very happy after talking with Ms. Hackett. I have a Hotel Administration degree from University of Nevada, Las Vegas and worked extensively in downtown Las Vegas and with the opening of The Mirage Hotel in 1989. I also worked in the food and beverage industry in Japan for almost 4 years. I have traveled to every state in the U.S., except Minnesota, and 33 countries around the world. In my travels, I have stayed in many different brands of hotels both domestically and internationally, with varying levels of service. The lodgings ranged from youth hostels when I was in my early 20's to a 4 star, $750 a night hotel on the shore of Lake Como in Italy. Vanessa Hackett is the most personable, professional and memorable front desk associate I have ever had the pleasure of interacting with and meeting. She provided advice on places to visit, restaurants to try and went above and beyond the service offered by a typical front desk associate. I think that Hilton Home2 Suites Philadelphia should give her a raise and promote her to a Customer Service and Training Manager. I believe that people can be trained to provide the level of impeccable service we received from Ms. Hackett. I do not write too many reviews but I was compelled to tell the public and Hilton Hotels about the treasure they have in Ms. Vanessa Hackett. If you are lucky enough to be able to interact with Ms. Hackett, I assure you that your visit to Philadelphia will be unforgettable.

Stay away… We stayed here for a quick family getaway. Upon our check in the front office staff looked annoyed and were not very helpful. Every time you asked a question they had very short and at times condescending answers. When we finally got to our room the experience was not much better. Room: smelled like a dirty wet mop was used. The floors were sticky and in the walls were filthy dirty. The couch was ripped and had so many stains on it that I was afraid to even sit down. Bed: the bed squeak on every move you made. You could feel how sunken in the mattress was right in the middle of the bed. Mattress was nasty. Pillows were horrible and flat. You are better off not sleeping on one. Bathroom: this was the worst. There was mold on the walls. There were no amenities whatsoever. We were giving a bar of Palmolive soap after and were told that’s all they had. The shower head was full of grime and mold. Towels: our towels looked old and worn out. Walls were dirty and had a pungent smell to it. Parking: No onsite parking. You have to park at a garage next door and walk out to get to the hotel. Breakfast; was ok. Not the best. Overall my experience was bad. Would never stay here again.

Vanessa at front desk is wonderful! Vanessa at the front desk is sooooo helpful, professional, and kind. The security guard (I don’t remember his name) was very helpful with my luggage as I came in. The hotel is very clean and well-maintained. Breakfast is waffles, pre-made little omelets, oatmeal porridge, and such. It was fine. Price is competitive. Across 12th street is Reading Terminal Market. It is AMAZING! With grocers and butchers for fresh meat, fish (without fishy smells) and vegetables; to all kinds of and meal vendors; to shops with holistic items, candles, and more, it’s a place where you can spend time pleasantly out of the heat. It is very comfortably air conditioned and clean throughout.

Great stay!! The crew working here know how to host! From Vanessa at the front desk to our folks at breakfast to our room stewards. The care and friendliness was unmatched. Breakfast was great, the rooms were clean and quiet, and the amenities were plentiful.
