Customer service is what this hotel runs on Have been here for 1 month and have 1 more week to go after kidney transplant. The staff is crossed trained which is a positive. They are the ones that made our stay most enjoyable. Dani, Don, and Chris are so positive, helpful and knowledgeable. From breakfast throughout the day. Alex,Jose, and Richard (Maintenance) are extremely hard workers. These 6 are a credit to your name and an asset to your reputation. On demand shuttle service is also a great convenience. Thanks

Disappointed with lack of responsiveness As a lifetime Titanium elite member, I stay at many Marriott properties. I’ve stayed here before without incident but this time, several things went wrong and unaddressed. I even wrote to the general manager and didn’t get a reply. In short, none of the preferences on my profile were respected, the room had a broken light fixture, and at check in, the clerk told me I didn’t qualify for my elite upgrade benefits unless I wanted to rebook and pay a higher rate. Breakfast under COVID was a paper sack doled out at reception with cold packaged muffin, juice and yogurt. No fresh fruit. There are many good lodging choices in the area; next time I will stay at one of those.

Great for Mayo patients family We stayed at this hotel several weeks in the past month due to my husband's stay at the Mayo Clinic Hospital. I cannot begin to say how absolutely fantastic the clerks at the desk were while we were there. They seemed to feel the stress that I was going through with my husband so ill and they went "above and beyond" to make my stay as pleasant as possible. This meant so much to me at this stressful time. And the fact that I could just walk over to the hospital any time because it is so close to the Mayo meant so much to me. The cleanliness, the staff, and hospitality was so very much appreciated by me and my husband. We would highly recommend this hotel to everyone.

Having Second Thoughts I went with my wife for appointments at the Mayo Clinic and it was a long day. We did not get out until nearly 6 p.m. Upon arrival at the Residence Inn, we could not get into the lobby since we did not have a room card yet. Once we finally gained access and checked in quickly, we had to walk a bit more than one would expect to find the elevators. Our room, 209, was around the corner from one of the elevators but, to be fair, our room was quiet. There are no restaurants nearby and were famished, so we looked at the handouts that were available at the front desk and a lot of them had delivery thru Uber Eats, Grub Hub, etc. We decided to drive and the front desk person gave us wrong directions, so we spent a bit of time trying to find a place, then finding our way back. Not fun. The bed was nice, but the comforter was too hot for my liking. In addition, my wife and I agreed that the 4 pillows they gave us were OK but too small. We checked on cleanliness and noticed the light fixtures could use some dusting. In addition, when my wife tried to use the blow dryer in the morning, it did not work. After packing, we went down for breakfast and discovered they only offered items in a paper bag. OK, I can get this, but some people like eggs and some kind of meat. Why can't they dole out small packages of these items then have the guest take them to their room and heat them up in the microwave? We got bagels and the front desk person said to take it back to our room and heat it up in a toaster. Great idea, but there was no toaster in our room. We were offered some fruit and opted for a banana. When we got back to the room, we discovered the banana was badly bruised, so we did not eat it. There was a drawer in our room that would not close. It was the top right drawer below the TV. I tried to close it myself, be felt like something in the back was (clothing?) It was also noticed that some of the housekeeping staff were not wearing masks. There is a good chance i will have to return to the Mayo and if I do, having second thought about staying there again.

Excellent Place to Stay! I recently stayed at this hotel while my husband was at Mayo Clinic. The location is right next door to Mayo and the hotel offers a shuttle but only allows 1 person/family per trip due to COVID and it only runs till 5pm (visiting hours at Mayo end at 6). This was THE CLEANEST hotel I've been in for quite awhile and the staff appears to be following all guidelines related to COVID. Toiletries and "extras" are all kept at the front desk, sealed in bags. I stayed in a Studio King and it was fabulous! Spacious and a nice floor plan, very comfortable and updated. Comfy bed and a nice size bathroom, and the ice machine in the fridge was a nice extra! All dishes and kitchen items are stored in the dishwasher and you can see that it was run after the previous guest. The staff is wonderful, always friendly and extremely helpful. The only negatives I have are the toilet paper getting way to low before leaving an extra roll. Also Housekeeping does not make the bed, they only take out the trash and replace the towels. It would have been nice to return to my room after long days at Mayo to a freshly made bed to go along with the nice views! Aside from that, HIGHLY recommend!
