Pros and Cons of Laurel Crest My wife and I have stayed in a number of Bluegreen Resorts and so far this was our least favorite. First off what is good. The rooms are small yes but it’s a nice place to stay and each room has a jacuzzi tub which is a plus. I also like the location. It is central to the main parkway and east to get anywhere from there. Now what I don’t like. First, the outdoor amenities are lacking here. The pools are small and were mostly crowded to where we couldn’t really go. They were understaffed and that was fine, but the attitude of some of the matinence people were not that good. Yes I would possibly stay here again because it is a cheaper bluegreen resort but don’t plan on doing a lot on campus.

The property is advertising hotel rooms with kitchens as villas. They are not they are hotel rooms with kitchens. The property is advertising hotel rooms with kitchens as villas. Of course they are not, they are hotel rooms with kitchens. The guard shack is unmanned with no security gate. We asked maintenance to address a problem with the toilet while we were out for the day and we returned to find the door to our hotel room not villa ajar. Luckily nothing was stolen.

Nice Resort Laurel Crest is clean and comfortable. It is convenient to shopping and dining. Expect a time share pitch on arrival. Pigeon Forge is family friendly but more than a little expensive. A side trip to Cades Cove was interesting and free of charge.

Close quarters units, less outdoor amenities. The units are small, more like an efficiency apartment than a rental for a vacation or a family.. Bedroom is by the front door & walkway outside, leading to distubed sleep when others go by. The ventilation seems to be shared, as we "enjoyed" someones cooking cabbage and curry at different days.Had to go far to the pool, as the one directly behind our building wasn't open. We did have nice scenery, as we were on the 5th floor.

Pool Unit was very nice except for it's location. Request that are not near the pool because they have the pool open unit 11:00. You will listen to kids being kids all night. Forget using your lanai because of the noise. The bathroom doors bang into each other if you are not careful.
