Hidden Gem Off The Beaten Path We recently stayed 3 night at the LeConte Hotel and Convention Center in Pigeon Forge. Hotel is very nice and the residential area it sits in, it’s also very quiet. About 2 blocks off the Parkway, it’s pretty centrally located to all the attractions. Hotel has 2 pools (1 outside and 1 inside), a nice size lazy river and 2 hot tubs (again 1 inside and 1 out). Only problem with pools, outside is not heated and can get fairly cold and lazy river can get crowed pretty quick. They have a typical hotel breakfast (eggs, bacon, waffle maker, pastries, cereal, fruit, juice and coffee). Only took advantage of breakfast once, too many other breakfast spots to try out. Rooms are spacious and beds were comfortable. Very reasonable price for stay in late August. So if you plan to visit the Pigeon Forge area, don’t hesitate to give LeConte Hotel and Convention Center a try. It truly is a hidden gem in the Smokies.

Decent off strip accommodations Clean, updated hotel. Pricey and felt like I was staying in a an assisted living facility a little bit. It just has that look and feel. Pool area is nice. Elevators are super slow. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Had a free breakfast available.

Great For Quick Overnight Stay The hotel met our needs just fine. We needed a true suite, a bedroom door that closes, since I stay up later than my wife. And since we were road tripping, we were really only looking for something that was clean, comfortable, functional, and a convenient location for what we were doing this. This property met all of that. Sure, it isn't a luxury hotel, but at the price point and for what we were looking for it was fine. We'd stay there again if passing through and needing to stop in Pigeon Forge. Oh yeah, the staff was friendly, helpful, and cordial. And while we didn't use it, the pool and lazy river, and indoor pool, would probably be attractive to lots of people. Breakfast was about what was expected at this price point. Nothing fancy, but saves us time. And we'd go fairly early so there were not big crowds. As long as you aren't expecting a luxury hotel, but want something clean, nice, and funcational, and a good price, this place is hard to beat.

Decent Hotel for a Family of 6, But With Caveats So my wife and I first came here in Oct. 2023 and were so impressed w/ the space and amenities that we brought the 4 kids here in July 2024. This review is an average of the two. The pros of both times we went...the location!!! The hotel is located in the heart of Pigeon Forge in an idyllic hilly farm area that is close to everything; however, it still feels like you're off the beaten path. There are backroads all the way over to Wears Valley Rd., so there are many ways to outsmart traffic. The pool amenities are exceptional for this price range. The lazy river is heated, and there's an indoor pool and outdoor pool (neither are heated, I don't believe). The outdoor hot tub is great and spacious...plenty of room for two families at a time. There's one indoors as well. If you have little ones, there's a kiddie pool as well. This area was one of the highlights of our family trip. Now the not so good....so the first room we had was squared away (clean, working, etc.) and since we were there during a generally non-busy time of the year, everything seemed perfect about this hotel. However, when we came back during the busy summer season, some of the hotel's weaknesses were very apparent. The room was still nice overall. The fold-out bed was miserable for my teenage son and definitely would've been a squeeze for even two kids. Thankfully, we brought air mattresses for the little boys, so we had sleep space. The bathroom fixtures were kind of rough. There was one towel rack and one hook. The tub/shower valve was loose and the toilet seat was loose. Again, it was livable for a few days but it felt like disappointing corners cut. The A/C in the room doesn't quite cut it. My son froze by the actual unit while we were warm all evening ... it's like the room configuration doesn't cater to a normal wall unit. The worst part about it was the continental breakfast. I understand that at this price range, you're not going to necessarily get what the higher $$ chains provide, but this is baaad. The food itself was cheap (powdered eggs, paper-thin bacon), and the area where the food was served was tiny compared to the size of the hotel. It was jammed packed and very difficult to get around, especially with the popularity of the waffle station. The silver lining...with the money we saved staying there, eating out for breakfast one or two mornings wasn't that bad. All-in-all, this hotel is a good stay and a decent value for families. It can be rough finding a value hotel that can handle 6 folks in a room in PF. This one can get the job done as long as you don't mind a handful of minor inconveniences.

Clean and Convenient. Perfect location. There are back roads to avoid the traffic of the strip which made it very convenient to get to most places within 5-10 minutes. This hotel is clean and well maintained. The indoor pool is open until midnight which is nice for the older kids.
