A memorable visit to Pinehurst Golf Resort My son and I, along with another father/ son just returned from a 4 day visit to Pinehurst Golf Resort. We had an incredible experience. We stayed at the Carolina Hotel and played golf courses no. 2,4 and 10. Our room at the Carolina was fantastic. Spacious, updated and very clean. We had superb dining experiences at the 1895 restaurant in the Holly Inn. It was truly memorable for the great food and excellent service. The Carolina dining experience was also very good as was the casual dining at the Tavern bar in the Holly Inn. All three golf courses were beyond awesome. All in great condition. Our caddies, except for one, were all outstanding. Very professional, very knowledgeable and all hustled. Overall, I would highly recommend a trip to Pinehurst. There is also a lot of activities for non-golfers including the Spa, Pinehurst Village, the brewery, Golf Hall Of Fame etc.

It’s all about the people. My wife and I were fortunate enough to stay at the Holly Inn during the 2024 US Open. We put our name on a list at the end of the 2014 Open in hopes that 10 years later we would be lucky enough to stay there. They kept the list and informed me a few weeks ago that they had a room for us!!! We were astounded and thrilled! We are well traveled and simply amazed at how absolutely wonderful our stay was! Every staff member (starting with Lauren in Reservations from 2014) were genuinely focused on our comfort, satisfaction and fun experience! The people make all of the difference in a setting like no other. The history of The Village of Pinehurst and the Holly Inn is in great hands! We are already eager to return even before the 2029 US Open!!!

Terrible Round Of Golf, Caddie, and Management I went with my wife and another couple and played Number 2 in excruciating heat. We had to walk and take a caddie. By he time we got to hole 16 my wife was having a heat stroke. We had to quit on 16 and asked the caddie to call in for a cart to take my wife back to the pro shop. The caddie not only refused to call for a cart, but left us behind walking back to the pro shop. If she were not shaking and just about passing out, I would have complained to the pro shop. After taking care of her and leaving the resort, I wrote the management telling them of our terrible experience. I didn’t even get a return reply from the management. Not only will we never go there again, I always tell this story to my golf friends considering going there for a vacation and have dissuaded most from going there. The management there is absolutely cruel and indifferent to customers in real distress. Had I not got here body temperature back to normal and gone to a hospital, I would have filed suit.

Great Front Office Team / Golf The front office had team members that were first class in hospitality. The assistance they provided was a great help. I work at a Forbes 5 Star resort and believe the Pinehurst Resort is lucky to have Courtney and Gunnar as part of their front office team. Also, Mary who assisted in the shuttle from airport to resort and vice versa was extremely professional and went above and beyond to accommodate. All three of these team members were a great representation of the service I was provided during my time at Pinehurst.
Ate at Carolina house twice for dinner and once for brunch, was excellent every time. Great fresh catch special Thursday night. Also ate at the Duce, great views of 18 on #2. Cool seeing the stadium seating go up while players hit into the 18th green.

Pinehurst couples golf weekend The village of Pinehurst is lovely. We stayed at The Manor - very comfortable and a bit more intimate than The Carolina , however more of a 4 star service options at The Manor
Played No2- outstanding and difficult but so memorable in many ways because our caddy, Brant, was exceptional. Be prepared - pace of play is slowwwww (5 1/2 hrs)
Played new No 10 - definitely recommend - will take a little time to mature fully. Be prepared for a lot of walking. Had another exceptional caddy, Troy.
Reserve the Cradle - so much fun
We’ll be back!
