Great Experience at the Cottage Inn by the Sea! We had a wonderful experience at Cottage Inn by the Sea! The views are truly spectacular, and we enjoyed the room with the fireplace. The fire pits outside were a nice touch for relaxing in the evening. The room was clean and well-maintained. We had a fantastic stay and will come back in the future.

Breathtaking View The view is phenomenal here. Panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean and Pismo Beach and Pier from the bluffs. Our Ocean Front room had a back door that opened up to naturally landscaped yard with Adirondack chairs and fire pits to enjoy the view all day. We were near the pool and stairway going down to the beach. The hotel is older but the room was clean, cheerfully decorated with newer television, thermostat, fireplace and furniture. Tricia answered are questions about the hotel and made us feel welcome. All the staff here were helpful. There is a bistro in the lobby open mornings. We found it to be quiet and a short drive to restaurants in Pismo and Shell Beach. We will be back.

Enjoyed our visit and will be back Great location in Pismo Beach. Across from great hiking trails and stair steps down to the beach. The outdoor seating and fire pits were a great place to sit and enjoy the ocean sounds. Rooms were cozy with fireplaces. Also enjoyed the hot tub. Great value and perfect for a family trip.

Excellent This place is great. Everything from check in to check out. We had a beachfront room and it was great. The bed was very nice along with the pillows. The walk to the beach is very close. If you have any kind of walking issue, you would need to go a different way but, still close. It was very quiet and relaxing. The hot tub was really nice as well. There is a fun pub right in walking distance that had great food and craft cocktails. We would definitely go back.

Gorgeous cliffside retreat with fireplaces in every room! This hotel is in a gorgeous spot on the bluffs above Pismo Beach. The shared clifftop walkway area boasts fire pits and adirondack chairs to relax and soak in the sun--and it's perfectly positioned above a staircase down to the beach for an easy one mile walk along the sand into town or a similar walk along the cliffs into Shell Beach. We've stayed in a few neighboring resorts and appreciate the intimacy of this one--each room has a fireplace, the hotel itself doesn't feel like a zoo and there's nothing better than sitting out at night with some wine and the smores kit available from the front desk. The room can get a bit expensive on prime nights but can be had at killer rates if your schedule is flexible.
