Well Below Marriott Standards As others have noted, this hotel is very outdated. Ever been in a house that looks like the owners gave up on caring for it long ago? That's what this hotel feels like. Carpet stains and wall markings abound, and the floors in our room were not vacuumed. On Marriott's app there is a big deal about the "Commitment to Clean" and yet this hotel is pretty filthy. The furniture is well past its prime. Also very frustrating was the pool being closed---part of the reason I chose this hotel was for my 3 kids to use the outdoor pool after a long road trip. When I inquired about the outdoor pool hours, I was told that the pool was "missing a part and was closed." Yet the pool's winter tarp is still on, so it's been missing this part for months. The pictures of the pool from the app make it look glorious and yet there's no easily visible disclaimer on the Marriott app that the pool is closed. Because I booked through the app, I did not see the font 8 sentence on the hotel's website that the pool was closed for the summer. The staff at the front desk were indeed nice, but with so many other hotel choices in the immediate area we will not stay here again.

Nice Staff, Tired Property Property is rather old and hidden, not in walking distance to restaurants. Staff are very friendly (except for general manager). Hot breakfast. Grounds are weedy and trees on walkways have branches blocking them. Rooms are tired in need of renovation. Seems as though shortfalls are now all blamed on COVID. Yet it was comfortable. Stayed five nights. No extra bags for trash. Fairly clean in room and hallways with minimal trash and dirt. All in all, just okay. Guess I need to adjust my expectations with Marriott. Not what it used to be with consistency.

In need of some TLC Let me start with the positives - the staff is fantastic. I would like to call out Carmen at the front desk for going out of her way to honor my requests. Customer service seems to come naturally to her. It was also nice to see that they have done away with the single serve shampoos and instead have a dispenser on the wall. This is something I have wanted Marriotts to do for some time. And it's better shampoo than whats in those little bottles. The fire pit in the courtyard was a nice touch, but I think that is fairly standard at Residence Inns. It was also great that they washed every single utensil, glass, etc in the dishwasher before arrival. The place could definitely use some TLC. Lots of scuffs on everything - paint, wallpaper, fridge. Door to the bathroom did not close properly because the hinge was not secured. Room was pretty clean but it seemed like either the maintenance crew was absent or just not very good. The management might also want to talk to their garbage hauler about pickup time - they arrived at 4am and made a ton of racket emptying the dumpster, and it felt like they were right outside my window.

Traveled last minute for funerla We had to travel for funeral and booked this last minute. We loved the room! Our grown kids met us and slept on couch bed. Plenty of space. With covid we appreciated all dishes were cleaned and in dishwasher but they should put large trash bags in the room since housekeeping isn’t cleaning rooms daily (totally understand that). Very nice ladies at front desk. Boys loved the basketball court!

Poor.... Very nice and cordial staff....but, the halls, elevator, exterior door and were much dirtier than to blame on the pandemic. These places were not vacuumed, trash emptied nor swept in weeks! Very very neglected. Could be a nice place - try harder. Franklin
