Hotel Riu Palace Riviera Maya - All Inclusive

Love this hotel Top marks for this hotel 4 times we have visited this hotel and it never disappoints. Absolutely beautiful beach great food clean hotel fabulous staff wonderful entertainment. Staff work extremely hard and never stop to keep this hotel clean and well represented. Beach waiter service. Lots of beach games Great shows put on by the entertainment staff. Definitely worth a visit

Great service, clean, perfect for a family We stayed here in July and had a wonderful time. We went with our 2 daughters, ages 11 and 17. We booked a connecting 2-room suite and it was so nice to have the extra space. It was 2 full rooms connected by a hallway. However, the door to the outside hallway was outside both rooms. So we didn't feel isolated from each other. The recreation staff ("other services") was wonderful. They were engaging and kept all of the guests involved. My daughters loved that the staff members ate lunch with the guests. The resort was super clean. Any mess was cleaned up right away, our rooms were always tidy, the housekeeping staff was super helpful. Which brings me back to great service. We requested a blanket at 10:00 at night. I figured housekeeping would see the request in the morning and bring it when they cleaned the room. Nope. They brought it within 20 minutes! While the room service menu is limited, they also provide great service. My daughter's meal was not brought with the rest of ours. I called and they had it delivered within 5 minutes. While the resort was great, I do have to mention, be aware of food allergies if traveling to this resort. I have a gluten allergy. My travel agent put this on our reservation. While everything at the buffet is supposed to be labeled with allergens, many labels are missing or mixed up. When asked about the ingredients, the staff could not answer questions. Furthermore, the menus are pretty set at the other dinning establishments. There are very limited choices for someone with a gluten allergy. Typically, when I visit resorts, the waiter or a chef will come out and discuss options. This did not happen here. And most waiters were not knowledgeable. I did not go hungry, but I also did not have the options that others in my family enjoyed.

Amazing family vacation We had an amazing family vacation celebrating my dad's birthday. In total we had 13 guests (5 rooms), and the experience was excellent. For dinner, most restaurants were easily able to accommodate us in 15-20 minutes. As we've come to expect with RIU, the rooms, cleanliness, and service was amazing.

Lovely all-inclusive south of Cancun We were a group of 10, and the all-inclusive was perfect for such a large group. The tall, dreamy, palm trees that were at the top part of the beach were absolutely dreamy, and provided much needed shade during the heat of the day. Each room had its own fully stocked minibar, including alcohol! Quite remarkable. The staff was friendly and accommodating, including a man who brought drinks to the beach regularly. The buffet menu was wide, varied, and very good. The restaurants were generally good, with some items better than others. The swim-up bar was an added bonus, with part in the shade and part in the sun - choices! I would definitely recommend this resort, at least during the month of July, which is when we went. (I understand December is their busiest month.)

Riu Palace Excellent service, cleanliness and accommodations. Food was average and entertainment was below the standard of other RIU resorts. Not enough activities for families and kids. Not a fan of bathtub in the middle of the room. Excessive seaweed on the beach was not very appealing.
