Disappointed I never leave negative reviews, but I was so disappointed by our experience at Hotel1620. We stayed there for two nights because we were attending a wedding in Plymouth and the wedding hosts secured a block of rooms for their guests. The main areas of the hotel were nicely decorated (although the carpet was a bit worn and dirty in some places) and the staff were very friendly. However, the room itself was moist (for lack of a better word!) beyond belief - to the point where everything was incredibly damp and my socks got slightly wet from walking on the rug. The lamp shade on our desk (next to the AC unit) had splotches of mold on it (which we realized the night before we checked out). The bathroom fixtures and soap dispensers had a good deal of rust (and maybe mold?) and we found a used wash cloth in our bathtub upon our first use of the shower. We mentioned the mold issues to the front desk upon checkout and they did remove the resort fee (for a refund total of $60), but the ultimate bill still came to about $350/night. For that kind of expenditure, even at peak season, at the minimum, I expect a mold-free room that doesn't cause a headache and peak cleanliness. I felt bad for the bridge and groom who also stayed there the night of the wedding and were also disappointed by the state of the room. I leave this review not to be snarky or discourage business, but to provide the hotel with constructive criticism so that they can take steps to correct the mold issue and ensure that future visitors have a pleasant stay with them.

Above and beyond to return a lost watch Our stay at Hotel 1620 was great, but I want to especially commend Jane, the housekeeper who cleaned our room the day we left. My husband left his Apple watch in the room. It had slipped between the bed and the nightstand, and he didn't even miss it until Thomas, the Front Office Manager, called to let us know he had the watch. Thank you to Jane for her thorough cleaning and for turning the watch over to the front desk. Thank you to Thomas for calling me and sending the watch to us. Thank you to both of them for going the extra mile to return the watch.

Traditional hotel A very large hotel, with spacious well equipped rooms ,traditionally American, in facilities and furnished. Bed was excellent and comfortable. No breakfast offered during the week. Also no bottled water in the room which was unfortunate for a mid range hotel , there was a coffee machine with disposable cups and powdered milk sachets and coffee pods , this was a bit of a let down and gave a motel vibe to the room.bathroom was dated but well equipped. Staff pleasant and helpful.

Super location and great staff The hotel was in a great location across from the wharf surrounded by shops, restaurants and bars. There walk along the water beautiful and a bike path close by with bikes to borrow at the hotel. The staff was great! Dan at the front desk was so helpful and Al was real nice too. Jane offered a Pilates class that was super. The rooms were well decorated and clean and when we asked for shampoo and body wash it was in the room minutes later. We were so pleased with our stay.

Wellness at Hotel 1620 is Amazing My experience at Hotel 1620 was phenomenal. I was there for the MSAA Conference, which was fantastic. I want to highlight Jane Zinsus, your employee who led me through two sessions of wellness (yoga and pilates). Jane was absolutely wonderful. I am very active and I have to say that she is an amazing asset to your hotel. Her classes were wonderful, and I will look to book with you again for the simple fact that I can take more classes with her during my stay. Thanks so much Jane!
