Sun, Surf and Sand The resort was enjoyable - lots of places to eat nearby, free shuttle to take you up and down Pompano Beach, very nice pier nearby. We had a hard time trying to make reservations for beach chairs but once we arrived there was a place on beach that we could rent from. The beach is not one of the nicest I have been too - lot more trash than I have seen on other beaches (not a resort issue). The activities at the resort were ok but it wasn't a big deal to us. They had plenty of parking and chairs around the pools, there were no umbrella's around the pools but usually by 3 there was enough shade in areas on 2 of the pools. The staff was nice and helpful and we had an updated deluxe suite room - it was very nice .

Predatory Sales People at reception The predatory sales people you have to go through to get your wristband, which is also your door key, do not know that no means no. The guy harassed us until we were beyond stressed and absolutely ruined the start of what was to be a relaxing weekend. For this reason we will never return.

Really old and dated Do not buy timeshare. Sales onslaught goes on and on from person to person and what should be an update is not, totally sales and lasts twice/three times as long as it is never ending pressure to buy! No one from Wyndham or RCI seems to know that NO MEANS NO!

Will NEVER make the mistake of staying here again! My friend gifted me a weekend at Sea Gardens for my birthday. We were staying for 3 nights in the Ocean Palm building. We arrived around 9 pm and they only give you one key (even though 4 of us were staying in the room) because they want you to come back to get harassed by the individuals selling the timeshares to get the additional room keys. The following morning my husband and I wake up in a pool of sweat. We check the thermostat and it’s reading 80 degrees in the room despite it being set at 68. We call the front desk who tell us no one is there to talk to before 9am. This was 8 am. We remain in the hot room until 9 am. At 9:15 we call back. They still can’t assist us. We call back at 9:30 and we are told the entire buildings AC is broken and they will be working to fix it with no ETA. The front desk never called us to let us know the issue we had to call back over and over. We waited ALL day with no updates or information. Of course it rained all day so we were stuck in the room with no AC all day. At 5 pm we go to the front desk and ask for an update. We are told they don’t have one. We request to be moved rooms and are originally denied the request. A few hours later my husband goes back down to the front desk and they finally agreed to move our room. We were downgraded from the 8th floor with an ocean view to a first floor with no view. Further the new unit was missing closet doors and the toilet paper holder was broken. After having to unpack in the first room and then scramble to be relocated we forgot my birthday dress in the original room. We immediately reported it to the front desk and asked them to bring it to new unit. Again no call no dress so we had to call back 3 times to be told they don’t have the dress. Of course they had the dress we just moved rooms the night before and it was hanging in the closet. We went to speak with the manager, Wayne Dwyer, on duty. The manager was incredibly rude. He refused to do anything about retrieving my dress. I explained it was my birthday dress and had cost me $350. I didn’t want a credit or anything I wanted my dress back. It was clearly stolen within hours before that from house keeping. Instead of figuring out who cleaned the room and asking where the dress was the manager basically just said oh well shouldn’t have left it behind. I find this to be completely unacceptable from any reputable hotel. I understand the AC is beyond their control but the way the entire weekend was handled from a customer service perspective was so unacceptable I will never stay here again. I should note that I visit Pompano approximately 5 times a year and usually stay at the Royal Vista without incident. I am a Wyndham owner and will be reporting this property to Wyndham as well.
