New Management Desperately Needed I stayed at this hotel during a conference last week. The rooms are falling apart and the place was filthy in every direction. Young kids who only care about themselves and their phones are running the place. This once great hotel is so poorly operated that ONLY a complete overhaul of the management team can possibly save it from going out of business.

Far below Marriott standards I have stayed at this property more than 100 nights over the last 8 years. Unfortunately, it has gone straight down the tubes over the last two years, as if management is completely absent. The grounds are still beautiful, and the area is nice, but the interior has not been cared for at all. On recent occasions the air conditioning stopped working in my room and I had to be moved. That was the case during a stay last week and there were serious plumbing issues as well. Also, TV sets are so outdated the screens are totally fuzzy. In other words,, there is no such thing as maintenance at this property any more. To make matters even worse, they also have teenagers running the front desk instead of adults, the kind who ignore customers who are waiting in line so they can scroll though their cell phones (which was the case last Monday afternoon at check-in and again when I checked out). What a shame that this once excellent hotel is now operated so poorly. Marriott should remove their flag from this franchisee.

Awful Marriott from top to bottom Arrived early, so we checked our bags in the storeroom, gave a credit card to check in for the room, and went to play golf. Received a call that our room was available. Came back to hotel and the man at the front desk says he couldn't find our reservation. For 15 minutes he tried. I finally asked for a supervisor and he came over and told me to "sit over there" while "his team" worked it out. His team never worked it out. Finally the supervisor looked at his computer and found our room. No apololgy, no thank you for your patience. Just an angry attitude and handed us two free drink cards. The room was disgusting. Had to step over torn carpet in the entry way so as not to trip. The shower tub did not drain so we're standing in ankle deep water. The hallway had the same pieces of cereal laying there for three days. I am a Marriott fan. I have no idea what has happened at this location, but I highly recommend you stay at one of the many alternative hotels in the area.

Disappointing experience at a brand I love The property is in a very nice part of town and has many prestigious golf courses near by. I recently stayed on property during a very busy time. The hotel restrictions/policies were in line with other hotels during COVID (regarding housekeeping, etc). The rooms were average and food/drink in hotel was also average. Be careful of their valet during busy times. The attendants were very frantic and aggressive with driving vehicles. Unfortunately for me, their actions resulted in damage to my new vehicle. Hotel has been giving me the run around for a week now and I have not yet been able to speak to anyone about my claim. Incredibly disappointing for such a large brand. There are much better options near by that those considering staying should consider, including many that are beachfront.

Marriott’s low point I have stayed at this resort several times, but this time was so very unworthy of the Marriott name that I feel compelled to write a review. The hallway was not vacuumed during my entire four-day stay. Dirty dishes and glasses sat outside rooms for two days before being picked up. The sliding door of my room - on the first floor - did not lock; the final solution was to hammer a board into place up at the top. If there had been a fire, I would have been toast. My shower had other people’s hair on the tile. The blackout curtains had holes in them. The Starbucks didn’t have tea bags - I had to give them two from my purse in order for them to make my tea and no, they didn’t give me a discount on the beverage. In the pub, the fryer was broken throughout our stay. Never have I been so disappointed.
