They should be ashamed of themselves! This place is awful! Although supposedly under renovation, the room I was given had a foul odor that was like a damp basement. The TV reception was non existent and I was only able to watch with my streaming device. The only benefit to staying here is the low cost and the convenience of its location. I most definitely would not stay here again.

Stay Away Far Away From Cottonwood Suites!! This was the WORST hotel that we have ever booked. It was terrible. The bed mattresses were worn out. It is a two story building with no elevator. We had to carry our bags up a very steep flight of stairs. We arrived very late and was given a room that was already occupied. There were noticeable imprints in the beds of where many people had slept on them. When we sat on the beds the mattresses sank down to the box spring. The floor area at the head of the beds were covered with dust. The shower curtains in the bathroom had mold and mildew on them as well as the room window curtains. The clerk however was very polite and courteous. We have never had a booking like this before with hotels.com. This hotel should be removed from their listings. The rating should be below terrible!

Not the best place to book in Pooler, GA If you are trying to save money for your trip, and don’t mind a hotel in desperate need of TLC… boom this one. Otherwise, there are plenty in the area for $10-$20 more that are far and away in better shape. I will say upon arrival, the parking lot is extremely well lit. That’s where most of the good ends. It’s too bad, as this hotel has a good location, right off I-95. I booked about a month prior to dropping my daughter off at college. Thought we could have a nice stay on the way home. Can’t say it was memorable for the right reasons. First, there is a lot of activity in the parking lot, well lit or not. Especially the car with no license plates (and dudes hanging in and around it each night). Front desk is not full of southern hospitality. “Here are two key cards. Might have to try them a few times if they don’t work,” is what we were told. That held up, as one did not. Plus, the one Plus, the one stopped working the next day (yes, we were on the hook for the stay and didn’t change locations.) I was told to, “not put it near my phone next time.” Imagine that, their mistake was being put on me. I got stern, and explained I had not kept it close. I travel a lot and know what can happen. Very smug look from the staffer and no more words. Backing up to the arrival, as you can see from the pics… this is a dirty hotel. Outside Doors have key swipes… but they don’t lock. Great safety! I will say it’s slow——ly getting an upgrade (looks, not personality of staff). Stacks of new flooring is in the parking lot, and we had new flowering in our room. That’s the best part of the room. The bathroom, which is immediately to you left upon entering…. Is old. Faucets, sink, mirror, tub and… the toilet pic attached should explain what we thought of it. The handle flushed it “forward” not down. It’s also been snaked numerous times, according to the marks in it. Mold and mildew take up areas of the shower. The handle is worn and leaked. The light switches had over spray on them from painting. Did I mention the smell in the room? I bought an air freshener and fabric spray. Just odd and overpowering. Bed sheets? Cleaned, but stained. TV and cables were also covered in overspray from painting. A dude also slept on the floor, against the wall near the ice machine. Fun! The property IS undergoing a renovation. But by my account… should be done in 10 years. Why not close half, gut it and start on the other half? Skip this if you can pay extra for a decent hotel. Won’t be back.

Our Disappointing Accommodation On May 11, 2023 I called the hotel to make reservations for May 31st to June 6th. Spoke to Emily, I was promised that Suite 115 would be reserved for my husband & I. I called back on May 16th again i spoke Emily to verify my reservation because she did not ask me for a credit card. She confirmed my comp number and suite 115. We arrived at the hotel and was told by the desk clerk that 115 was occupied and that there was no record of the request found. We were directed to a couple other suites, we settled for Suite 102. The suite was lacking the following; no TV in the living room, cups or tissues in the bathroom, iron but no ironing board, coffee, coffeemaker, cups, ice bucket or trash can in the kitchen. The remote for the TV in the bedroom was missing the back cover. The next day we asked for those items, some were brought in that day and others the next day. The coffeemaker was missing the tray to put the coffee in. We took it to the front desk and was told it would be taken care of. When we returned that night to discover we had the same one. We took it back again and was told we were supposed to get a new one and he would get one to our room, I told him it was not necessary because we were checking out the next morning. The living room looked like a storage room with extra furniture that had no purpose, no decor at all in the rooms, soiled carpet and an unpleasant smell. Several evenings and nights when we returned to the room neither of our key cards would open the door we had to go to the front desk to have them reprogrammed. Two days the room was supposed to be cleaned, fresh washcloths and towels left didn't happen. A couple of times one of us had to go the laundry room to get fresh ones. The doors that are entered from the side of the building were never locked even at night, there is a security keypad lock system at each door which a key card has to be used to enter those doors. While we were paying customers our opinion is that our accommodation should have been far better. Disappointed, Johnell

Great Hotel This is a very good hotel. It is not a chain hotel. It is a little older but well taken care of. The staff was very friendly. It is in a safe area close to food and shopping and had a very decent price. Highly recommend.has pool and workout room. Clean.
