Don’t stay here This place was a real disappointment. I have no idea how they received good reviews and awards from trip advisor. The outside of the facility is attractive and has a cute beach feel, unfortunately that’s the best thing I can say about their accommodations. We placed our reservation through booking.com for a little over $300 a night. We were told we couldn’t check in any sooner than the regular check in time because it’s a “specialty room” which has a kitchenette. I understand that a room with a kitchenette can take longer to get ready, that’s if you want it to be clean. That’s not what we received. Here’s a list of the problems with this room. PLEASE LOOK AT MY PICTURES!!!!!! 1. Bath tub literally had a huge crack/hole in the middle of it and they put white duck tape over it. The shower floor was super unstable. I later found out that the people staying below us had to move because our tub was leaking on them. 2. Dishwasher had standing water in the bottom of it(probably why we had a bunch of flies in our room) 3. Shower curtain had mold on it 4. Toilet bowl was stained as of it wasn’t cleaned often 5. Walls were dirty and had marks on them like something was splashed/splattered on them. 6. Bathroom ceiling had possible mold on it & there was hair on the shower walls from previous guest 7. Kitchen appliances were super rusty 8. Stove was dirty 9. Cabinets were shotty and had a bunch of gross stuff splattered on them 10. Wall plate was cracked and has been this way for a long time 11. Breakfast was poor All of these things made me feel like our beds probably were not sanitized properly. This was not a good feeling when you know COVID is going around. I wouldn’t have stayed if there were other places available, but everything was sold out. At checkout I asked the receptionist if she has ever been in room 225. She said yes and knew all about the problems I described. I told her I would like some of my money back, but she told me the manager is only there during the week and I will have to contact her on Monday. I am thankful we only booked one night, otherwise I feel like our trip would have been ruined. It’s truly a shame that this establishment is aware of the problems and they are still charging people $300 a night. People are spending their good money at a place that really doesn’t care about their guests. I recommend the Best Western on Ave G. We stayed there 3 nights and it was a way better place to stay. Ask for room 252, if you want a kitchenette. Their service was also great!

Nightmare vacation This has to be the worst hotel ever. No beach acess, you will have to drive miles for acess. Can't even see the ocean from the hotel. There aren't any shops within miles of this place. No Wi-Fi was working, management is not customer service friendly.not to mention the maintenance man spraying down the walkways with bleach, getting in our cars and coming in our room. When I opened our room door bleach was dripping on our heads. It was a holiday weekend and people were everywhere, think they would have done that sooner. Pool was small and green, has dead frogs and bugs in it.

Trash Garbage. AC didn’t work. Then our keys stopped working for no reason. I called to ask why and the guy said “I don’t know call management.” I said wow, never heard that response.” He said , guess it’s a first time then.” Crap hotel. Save your money!! Trash!!!!!

Relaxing Hotel at Edge of town Island Hotel Port Aransas. Mother/Daughter trip. The hotel was clean. Not fancy but I wanted to spend my awake time either on the beach or in the town seeing things. The beds were comfortable. The wall a/c unit kept the room a nice temperature. The water was hot. Nice sink and mirror outside the tub and toilet area. Breakfast was good. It’s a quick breakfast but it filled my stomach. Parking was right outside my room. We felt safe their at night time. The guests were quiet at night. The pool was nice and very clean. I will return and stay here again.

Brightly colored rooms Spent a couple of nights here while exploring Port Aransas. Great location, close to beach and restaurants. We had a King handicapped room-- a large walk in shower (not because we needed it, but it was the last King available). It was decently clean, but it could stand a good cleaning of the floor molding and bathroom grout. Because of Covid, the free breakfast consisted of fruit, pre wrapped muffins and oatmeal packets. The dining area was closed, you had to bring your choices back to your room. Surpringly the pool was open...I did not use it...but it was empty when I checked it out. I wished I had packed my suit. All in all, good value for the price. ($203 with tax for 2 nights)
